Additionally, you will play a critical oversight role by liaising with our third-party data engineering partner. You will define data requirements for our core systems (Shopify, NetSuite, Manhattan WMS, Klaviyo, and Google Analytics) and ensure the technical execution of data ingestion and transformation yields clean, reliable, and unified datasets across our enterprise data warehouse.

  • Core Application Data Expertise: Serve as the functional subject matter expert for data models originating from Shopify (online sales and orders), NetSuite (ERP and financials) and other enterprise systems.
  • Vendor Management & Technical Liaison: Partner with our external data engineering vendor to manage data pipeline deliverables, establish data models, and validate transformation logic during data ingestion into Snowflake.
  • Data Governance & Quality Control: Implement auditing processes to validate data integrity across system boundaries, ensuring consistency between order capture (Shopify), inventory and billing (NetSuite), fulfillment (Manhattan WMS), and customer and marketing data (Klaviyo).
  • Data Flow Analysis: Map and document data flows across systems and maintain data dictionaries covering key data elements, sources, and transformations.
  • Self-Service Enablement: Train and support business users to build and run their own reports in Tableau, and maintain an up-to-date inventory of reports and dashboards.
  • BI Standards & Best Practices: Set and champion standards for dashboard design, metric definitions, and documentation across the organization.
  • Data Privacy & Security: Handle customer and payment-related data responsibly, following VICI's data privacy and security policies, including PCI and CCPA requirements.

Competencies:

  • Teamwork & Collaboration
  • Execution & Governance
  • Urgency & Resilience
  • Time Management

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a BI or Data Analytics role, with demonstrated expertise in e-commerce or omni-channel retail.
  • Enterprise Tech Stack Familiarity: Hands-on experience working with data structures and reporting capabilities in Shopify and NetSuite ERP. Experience with Manhattan WMS, and Klaviyo data is a plus.
  • Web & Marketing Analytics: Experience with Google Analytics (GA4) and marketing attribution.
  • Core Data Stack Proficiency: Advanced Snowflake SQL, expert-level Tableau development, and a strong grasp of dimensional data modeling (star schemas, fact and dimension tables).
  • Data Privacy Awareness: Working knowledge of data privacy and security practices, such as PCI and CCPA.
  • Vendor Coordination: Experience writing data requirements, managing third-party implementation partners, and holding external teams accountable to pipeline accuracy and SLAs.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate technical data concepts to business leaders and synthesize business requirements for technical vendors.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

Work Environment:

  • Varies by business needs: Sitting for long periods of time. Standing/walking occasionally.
  • Using office equipment such as computer, mouse, keyboard, printer
  • Warehouse environment with varying temperatures
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds
