A Brief Overview
The position analyzes operational effectiveness across all the organization's Workers Compensation (WC) teams to identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement. Responsibilities typically include problem definition, evaluation of requirements and implementation of systems and/or process to meet business user requirements. The Senior Business Analyst will lead requirements gathering, process design, and solution delivery for both routine and ad hoc initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
What you will do
- Interviews process owners and documents current state processes for inclusion in business requirements.
- Provides process solution recommendations with short- and long-term goals in mind.
- Identifies and analyzes trends in system errors or required enhancements related to the WC function.
- Assesses impact of improvements in partnership with WC leadership team to strategize and prioritize key improvements going forward.
- Executes recurring operational analyses and reporting while delivering ad hoc insights and one-off projects to address emerging business needs.
- Supports business activities by planning and designing complex business processes.
- Escalates issues as needed, and verifies solution meets requirements by assisting with user acceptance testing of fix or enhancement.
- Stays abreast industry best practices to effectively recommend effective enhancements and design for business systems and processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
Experience Qualifications
- Typically 5+ years of experience in project management, operational process documentation and improvement, or related required.
- 5+ years of Risk Management experience in relevant industry.
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of comprehensive workers compensation function including pricing, operations, classification, mitigation and claims management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel knowledge; ability to leverage BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and SQL for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and utilizing project management applications.
- Ability to manage projects and facilitate team interactions, employing sound change management principles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of business analysis methodology and tools.
- Ability to perform complex trend and variance analyses to quantify operational and financial impact.
- Strong consultative skills; ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, accurately, and tactfully.
- Solid presentation and facilitation skills.
- Must be highly organized, able to effectively prioritize work, be oriented to detail, and have excellent follow through.
Licenses and Certifications
- ARM (Associate in Risk Management) designation or active progress toward achieving, preferred
- Six Sigma preferred
- Agile/Scrum Training/Certification preferred

The preferred location for this role is Atlanta, GA, and the salary range for this location is $70,800.00 to $141,600.00. All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role, based in Atlanta. All qualified internal candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation to Atlanta and may be considered for remote hire at the company’s discretion. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.
A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
