  • Develop product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting documentation.
  • Recommend priorities based on user impact, strategic alignment, dependencies, effort, risk, and expected value.
  • Serve as a key connection among business stakeholders, end users, designers, engineers, data teams, and third-party partners.
  • Support products and capabilities from discovery and prototyping through launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.

Business Analysis and Solution Design

  • Lead stakeholder interviews, workshops, process-mapping sessions, and requirements-gathering activities.
  • Analyze complex legal and business processes to identify opportunities for simplification, standardization, automation, and technology enablement.
  • Translate business needs into actionable functional and nonfunctional requirements.
  • Document current-state processes, define future-state experiences, and conduct gap and impact analyses.
  • Partner with technical and design teams to develop solutions that are intuitive, secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Identify assumptions, risks, dependencies, and decisions requiring program-level attention.
  • Maintain traceability from strategic objectives through requirements, delivery, and measurable outcomes.

Stakeholder and Delivery Leadership

  • Build trusted relationships with firm leaders, legal professionals, subject-matter experts, and cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate decisions among stakeholders with differing priorities, perspectives, and levels of technical familiarity.
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly through executive-ready presentations, recommendations, and status updates.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, product demonstrations, acceptance testing, and retrospectives in partnership with delivery teams.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and confirm that delivered capabilities meet agreed business requirements.
  • Support change management, communications, training, and adoption activities.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative feedback to evaluate performance and guide ongoing improvements.

Data, AI, and Responsible Innovation

  • Help identify and assess opportunities to improve legal service delivery through data, automation, AI, and emerging technologies.
  • Partner with technology, security, data, risk, and governance teams to ensure solutions meet applicable standards.
  • Define success measures related to adoption, user experience, quality, efficiency, and business value.
  • Promote responsible experimentation while maintaining appropriate attention to privacy, confidentiality, reliability, and human oversight.
  • Stay current on developments in enterprise technology, AI-enabled work, product management, and professional services.

Who You Are

  • 5–10 years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis, product ownership, product management, technology consulting, digital transformation, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex, cross-functional technology products or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong command of business analysis practices, including requirements elicitation, process mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria, gap analysis, and user acceptance testing.
  • Experience managing product backlogs and working within Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models.
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business needs into structured problems, clear requirements, and executable plans.
  • Strong facilitation, stakeholder-management, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence decisions and build alignment without relying on formal authority.
  • Experience working with technical teams and a practical understanding of enterprise applications, integrations, data, security, and user experience.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with a Big Four firm or another leading management, strategy, or technology consultancy.
  • Experience transitioning from consulting into an internal product, transformation, or technology leadership role.
  • Experience in legal services, professional services, financial services, or another complex, knowledge-intensive, and highly regulated environment.
  • Experience with AI-enabled products, knowledge platforms, workflow automation, or enterprise digital workplace initiatives.
