A Day in the Life:

This is a hybrid hunter/farmer role where you’ll be challenged to think big, act fast, and win often. You’ll take full ownership of developing new business and growing existing accounts, working closely with leadership and delivery teams to ensure long-term success.

  • Build strategic, multi-year account plans that expand Sparq’s footprint, uncover whitespace opportunities, and generate steady revenue increases year over year.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities to expand Sparq’s market share, building a strong pipeline of prospects and converting them into multi-million-dollar partnerships.
  • Develop new connections across your accounts, identifying decision-makers and influencers (CIO, CTO, VP/Director of Engineering) in multiple business units to accelerate growth.
  • Weave AI, Big Data, and product-first thinking into client discussions, demonstrating Sparq’s ability to deliver modern solutions like Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and OpenAI.
  • Partner with sales and marketing to build tailor-made campaigns and attend events, conferences, and entertainment venues to drive business development activities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution, tracking results against client objectives and addressing challenges proactively to maintain high trust.
  • Offer thought leadership, industry insights, and practical strategies while navigating procurement processes to ensure contracts are smart, fair, and favorable.

What it takes:

  • 8+ years of proven success in selling mid-scale and large-scale agile enterprise program/product and IT organizations.
  • Strong regulated industry acumen (e.g., Manufacturing, Finance, Transportation, Life Sciences) and a robust network of past clients.
  • A deep understanding of the Data and AI landscape including, but not limited to: OpenAI, AWS, Azure, Google, Snowflake, Databricks, and Palantir.
  • A proven track record of success in competitive, quota-driven environments, effectively growing business portfolios as an individual contributor.
  • Expertise in leading and expanding client accounts through the art of building a relationship and managing client expectations skillfully.
  • Full-cycle sales expertise, navigating complex engagements—from inception and prospecting to closure and renewals—with finesse.
  • Ability to communicate persuasively and effectively, building strong rapport with senior technology and product leaders.
  • Resourceful, motivated, thrives under pressure, and ready to prove yourself in a fast-changing industry.
