Job Description

Position Summary:
The Cloud Services team has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Cloud Architect with experience in designing, architecting, developing, testing, and deploying solutions to the cloud using AWS.
As the Senior Cloud Architect, you are part of a team focusing on building solutions maximizing use of emerging technologies to transform our business to achieve superior value and scalability. Your role is to serve as the lead cloud architect and trusted advisor  relating to cloud infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about technology, has breadth rather than specific product depth, and has the drive and courage to define and articulate a great solution utilizing the best of what cloud services can offer.  This candidate has experience in designing both technology and security architecture for cloud applications and services.
You have the proven capability to analyze existing products and infrastructure, understand how to leverage existing investments and introduce best of breed, emerging cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible to help design, architect and implement new capabilities that address any gaps and provide an integrated end to end scalable, enterprise-class service.
This position is responsible for providing technical guidance regarding performance, scalability, security, design, and implementation of our cloud services. The architect will be responsible for driving requirements for AWS capabilities and scenarios supporting the service such as service availability, quality, outage management, subscription management, correlation of usage and charges, and cost efficient solution architecture.
Additionally, this resource will need to lead the development of tools and documentation to enable the Support organization to resolve customer issues, including complex technical scenarios dealing with the cloud architecture.
The successful candidate has the drive and intellectual horsepower to resolve the most difficult technical issues, often through collaboration with other technical specializations; will be a technical resource for the team regarding security, performance, deployment, troubleshooting, and effective testing the full interaction of our platform; develop and publish applications; will work in close collaboration with the Development, Product Management and Operations teams; and will interface with various levels of management.
Requirements
•    Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field required, or equivalent experience
•    Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in relevant areas
•    Advanced knowledge of the primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3).
•    Infrastructure automation through (E.g. shell, Python, Ruby, Powershell)
•    Configuration management using CloudFormation, Terraform or equivalent
•    Strong practical Linux systems administration skills in a cloud environment
•    Expertise in one or more of the following languages:
o    Python, Ruby on Rails, NodeJS, PHP
•    Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
•    Experience migrating and architecting complex, multi-tier applications to AWS
•    Leading highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments
•    Proven track record working with development teams to provide architectural guidance tailoring applications and systems run in a public cloud environment
•    Experience working with development teams using SCRUM based development methodology
•    Travel up to 25%
