Why You’ll Love This Role

Cribl is expanding its Legal team to meet Cribl’s rapidly growing needs! In this role, you’ll be part of a high-performing, collegial and prominent Commercial team that partners with our global GTM team and directly contributes to driving Cribl’s growth.  


As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will…

  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including SaaS subscription agreements for cloud and on-premise software deployments, partnership, reseller and MSP contracts, distribution agreements, non-disclosure agreements, data processing agreements, information security agreements, business associate agreements, and vendor contracts;
  • Collaborate with and support the partner channel teams in facilitating and negotiating deals with partners;
  • Provide expert legal advice and support to sales and other cross-functional teams on legal issues, including problem-solving with a focus on providing available options, discussing risks for options, and executing on options the client selects;
  • Use standardized contract review and risk-assessment processes, including documenting contracts and obligations, and use contract and matter management tools and software; 
  • Develop and improve form agreements and negotiation playbooks to drive consistency, reduce cycle time, and enable the Legal team to scale effectively;
  • Create and deliver training to business teams on legal best practices, effective engagement with the Legal team, and relevant legal and regulatory developments; and
  • Coordinate with other internal team members on cross-functional issues, including privacy, security, compliance, and product, as needed.

If You’ve Got It - We Want It

  • At least 6 - 8 years of experience in a commercial in-house role at a technology company in the SaaS industry;
  • Passion for the law, technology, and eagerness to learn;
  • Experience supporting and collaborating with sales, partner channel, and procurement teams to achieve business objectives within the risk parameters established by the Legal team;
  • Ability to build consensus and drive alignment across many internal and external stakeholders and teams;
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with a demonstrated ability to identify problems, propose solutions and execute;
  • Conversant with business and legal operations systems such as Ironclad, Salesforce, Spellbook, and Guru;
  • Comfort in a remote environment, self-motivated to work asynchronously and independently as the manager and team members sit in different time zones throughout the US, EMEA and APAC;
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency, collaboratively in a team-focused environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write concisely and to communicate clearly and cross-functionally at all levels of the organization to support business-led decisions;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • A great sense of humor and a customer service mindset; and
  • Juris Doctorate and a relevant license to practice law in good standing.

The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location and will be based on the individual candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
In addition to base salary, for sales and some sales-adjacent roles, employees are eligible to earn incentive compensation (commission). For all other roles, employees are eligible to participate in the Cribl Corporate Bonus Program.
In addition to a competitive salary, Cribl also offers a generous benefits package which includes health, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, paid holidays and paid time off, a fertility treatment benefit, 401(k), and equity.

Base Salary Range
$150,000$170,000 USD
