About Kira

We live in a world where technology is rapidly changing the educational experiences of students and teachers everywhere, and we have the opportunity to shape how this change takes place. It is Kira’s mission to harness transformative AI technologies to make world-class teaching and learning accessible to everyone.

Kira is an AI-powered learning platform designed to help educators deliver more personalized, effective instruction — without adding to their workload. We combine curriculum, assessments, and AI tutoring into one seamless experience that supports both classroom and self-paced learning. Teachers use Kira to save time on planning and grading, while students get real-time feedback and adaptive support. We started with computer science and are now expanding across subjects to help schools meet the growing demand for accessible, high-quality education at scale.

Kira is a rapidly growing startup backed by top-tier Venture Capital funds including New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and Andrew Ng’s AI Fund.

About the Role

Kira is hiring its first Senior Community Growth Manager to lead customer acquisition and retention through lifecycle marketing and community-led programs. This is a high-impact, strategic role for someone who’s both a builder and an operator, hands-on, scrappy, and comfortable owning initiatives end-to-end. You’ll focus on building scalable systems that grow our educator base and deepen their long-term engagement with Kira, blending the rigor of a growth marketer with the empathy of a community leader. You’ll use email, content, and educator-facing programs to drive meaningful activation, loyalty, and advocacy.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead Kira’s educator growth strategy, identifying and optimizing the channels (email, community, referral, partnerships, events) that build awareness, drive adoption, and deepen engagement.
  • Create and execute email and content strategies that feel like conversations, not campaigns.
  • Design and lead teacher-centered programs, events, and activations — both virtual and in-person — that build community and word-of-mouth.
  • Build out our teacher ambassador or advocate program, enabling our most passionate users to help grow the brand.
  • Serve as the voice of the educator in cross-functional planning and product development.
  • Monitor and optimize key growth metrics like acquisition cost (across organic/community efforts), LTV, and engagement to improve ROI across lifecycle and community channels.

Experience & Skills

  • Have 4-7 years of experience in community, lifecycle, or growth marketing, especially at a mission-driven, or other high growth B2B2C organization. Ed-tech experience is nice to have.
  • Have built or grown communities of passionate, loyal users. Bonus points if your users were educators or your product was education adjacent.
  • Are deeply empathetic to the challenges and motivations of users. Bonus points if you have worked with teachers or are a past educator.
  • Are experienced in using content and community as core drivers of engagement and retention, rather than relying on paid channels.
  • Know how to grow and engage a community through credibility, relevance, and value — not just volume.
  • Are a strong communicator and project manager. Comfortable running campaigns, collaborating cross-functionally, and managing contractors or small teams.
  • Love talking to users, collecting insights, and turning feedback into action.

Background Check: Kira Learning will make a conditional job offer in line with local, state and federal laws, and a subsequent criminal, education, and employment history background check will then be issued.

Kira believes that diversity and inclusion among our employees are critical to our success as a company, and we seek to recruit, develop and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool.
