Key Responsibilities
- Support the quarterly earnings communications process, including timelines, driving coordination of stakeholder reviews, approvals and final material preparation
- Support the creation of clear, compelling earnings-related content including press releases, executive scripts, Q&A, talking points, and internal communications
- Manage cross-functional collaboration with Investor Relations, Finance, Legal, SEC Reporting, and senior business stakeholders to ensure accuracy, consistency, and audience alignment
- Develop always-on financial communications content (e.g., explainers, fact sheets, multimedia content, blogs, social posts and web materials) that amplifies MetLife's strategy and performance
- Monitor media, analyst commentary, and market trends and support proactive engagement with financial media to inform proactive messaging and support communications during key financial milestones or high-interest periods
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in financial communications, corporate communications, investor relations, public relations, or related field, with demonstrated support of earnings or financial communications
- Advanced writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, audience-appropriate messaging
- Strong project management capabilities, including managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience creating polished communications materials and managing review workflows
- Sound judgment and attention to detail, with an understanding of reputation management and sensitivity in financial communications
- Bachelor's in communications, marketing or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the financial services industry, with familiarity navigating complex, matrixed organizations
- Ability to work independently while effectively prioritizing competing demands and deadlines
- Experience with content and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Canva, Adobe Express, PowerPoint, or AI-enabled tools)
- Proactive, self-motivated mindset, with a desire to learn the business and continuously improve communications impact
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance expectations and business needs effectively
