About the role

You'll be Campfire's lead storyteller: the person who finds the narratives in our customers, our product and our point of view on the market, and turns them into content people want to read, watch and share. You'll set the editorial agenda for brand content, write and edit across formats, and work side by side with our video producer, social lead, product marketers and customer marketer to give Campfire a distinctive, consistent voice.

What you'll do

  • Own the brand editorial strategy and calendar: narratives, series and formats across long-form, newsletter, video scripts and social.

  • Write and edit thought leadership, customer stories (with Customer Marketing), founder and executive content, launch narratives, and scripts and show formats for video.

  • Define and steward Campfire's voice: build the style guide and coach contributors across Marketing.

  • Develop original, source-worthy content (research, data stories, frameworks) that earns attention and strengthens SEO and AEO authority.

  • Co-plan with the SEO & AEO Manager to align topics and avoid duplication; hand off or co-produce where intents overlap.

  • Partner with Social and Influencer Marketing on distribution and with Creative on visual storytelling.

  • Measure what resonates (engagement, subscribers, assisted pipeline, qualitative feedback) and evolve the program.

What you'll bring

  • 6+ years in content marketing, journalism or editorial, with a portfolio that shows range and a recognizable voice.

  • Exceptional writing and editing; you make complex B2B topics clear and interesting.

  • Experience building an editorial program (a newsletter, series or brand publication) from concept to audience.

  • Comfort scripting for video and collaborating with producers.

  • A collaborative operating style: you work across SEO, Product Marketing, Social and Customer Marketing without turf wars.

  • Sound judgment on brand, tone and what's worth saying.

  • Experience in [Campfire's category] or with the personas we sell to.

  • Newsletter growth experience.

  • Basic SEO literacy.

What success looks like in 90 days

  • Editorial strategy, voice guide and Q1 calendar published.

  • One flagship series (written or video) and the newsletter cadence launched.

  • Content boundaries and a joint calendar agreed with SEO & AEO.
