About the Team

Outreach's Legal team supports the business as a lean, fully remote group that blends deep commercial contracting expertise with legal operations discipline. The team partners closely with Sales, Finance, Revenue Operations, Business Systems, and Privacy to keep deals and processes moving, and covers both U.S. West Coast and East Coast hours to ensure reliable, always-on queue coverage. The team is actively modernizing how legal work gets done - from CLM and contract-repository tooling (Ironclad, Salesforce, Atlassian Jira, Mindtickle) to embedding AI into everyday contracting and operations workflows.

The Role

Outreach is hiring a Senior Contracts and Legal Operations Manager to join its Legal team. This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Legal and combines two complementary disciplines: commercial contracting and legal operations.

On the contracting side, you will provide coverage of Legal’s contracting queues during U.S. West Coast hours, independently handling intake, triage, and negotiation of agreements within defined templates, playbooks, and fallback positions. Attorneys remain actively involved in contracting, and you will coordinate closely with them on complex or non-standard matters.

On the operations side, you will shape the systems, processes, templates, and reporting that Legal and the broader business rely on, including driving AI adoption into Legal’s daily work and workflows.

The position offers broad cross-functional exposure across Sales, Business Systems, Finance, Revenue Operations, Privacy, and other teams. We are looking for a business-focused professional who delivers measurable results, exercises sound judgment, operates with independence within defined authority, and builds practical partnerships across the organization.

Location: This is a remote (US) position that requires availability during U.S. West Coast business hours to ensure coverage of Legal’s contracting queues.

Your Daily Adventures Will Include

    Contract Intake, Triage, and Negotiation

    • Provide independent coverage of Legal’s contracting queues during U.S. West Coast hours

    • Triage incoming requests, provide practical guidance within scope, identify the appropriate Legal or cross-functional owner, and keep matters moving efficiently

    • Negotiate commercial agreements including NDAs, MSAs, Order Forms, and similar standardized commercial agreements, using Outreach templates and approved fallback positions

    • Coordinate with attorneys on complex agreements, non-standard positions, material deviations, and matters requiring legal judgment

    • Support periods of increased volume, particularly at month-end and quarter-end

    • Apply AI tools to improve intake, triage, issue identification, drafting, and negotiation workflows

Legal operations management: Contracting Processes, Templates, and Business Enablement

    • Own and continuously improve contracting processes, templates, playbooks, fallback positions, approval paths, and related documentation, including MSAs, DPAs, Order Forms, MNDAs, and AI addenda

    • Develop clear, practical self-service documentation and enablement materials for Sales and other stakeholders, reducing routine process administration and repetitive questions handled by Legal

    • Drive adoption and improvement of contracting processes across Sales, Finance, Revenue Operations, and other cross-functional teams

    • Enforce organizational contracting policies and procedures with sound judgment and a practical, business-focused orientation

    • Identify and implement appropriate AI uses for process documentation, knowledge management, and business self-service

Legal Technology, Reporting, and Project Delivery

    • Serve as Legal’s primary operational partner to the Outreach Business Systems team for CLM, contract repository, reporting, and other legal technology initiatives

    • Work with Ironclad, Salesforce, Atlassian Jira, Mindtickle, and other tools used by the Legal team

    • Own and drive multiple concurrent workstreams to completion, managing priorities and dependencies independently and pulling in the Senior Director, Legal where needed

    • Keep the Senior Director, Legal informed through concise reporting on progress, dependencies, risks, decisions needed, and opportunities to unblock work

    • Deliver reporting that converts contract-repository data into insights the business can use to make decisions and take operational action

    • Incorporate AI into Legal systems and workflows to produce measurable process improvements

Our Vision of You

    • Seven (7) or more years of relevant commercial contracts or legal operations experience, preferably including meaningful in-house experience in SaaS or enterprise technology

    • Experience independently negotiating standardized commercial agreements within established templates, playbooks, fallback positions, and escalation frameworks

    • Strong issue-spotting and escalation judgment

    • Experience managing high-volume contract intake or legal queues

    • Strong project management skills across multiple concurrent systems and process initiatives

    • Ability to connect individual workstreams to broader business goals and measurable outcomes

    • Experience developing practical, business-facing process documentation and enablement materials

    • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, accuracy, perseverance, and professional judgment

    • Interest or experience using AI in contracting, legal operations, or business workflows

    Nice to have

    • Relevant paralegal, contracting, project management, privacy, or legal operations training or certification is helpful but not required

    • Experience with Ironclad, Salesforce, Atlassian Jira, Mindtickle, or comparable legal technology and business systems, including familiarity with CLM (Ironclad) implementation, configuration, or optimization projects

    • Experience building or improving contract-repository reporting and data analytics for business stakeholders

    • Background in SaaS commercial contracting, including familiarity with subscription models, data processing agreements, and AI-related contract terms
