Role overview:

Line of Credit is an emerging product that will be integral to Brigit's core business. In this role, you’ll lead analytics for the new product to drive product insights, design and execute experiments, monitor key performance, and optimize underwriting. The work you do will directly impact our company's profitability.

You’ll be a member of the Data & Analytics team, embedded in the Line of Credit pod. Day-to-day, that means you’ll focus on forecasting and monitoring profitability with Finance, partnering with Data Science to evaluate predictive models, and helping Engineering and Product make smarter decisions about how we underwrite and collect. The ideal candidate brings sharp analytical instincts, real product-domain knowledge with financial products, and an ownership mentality that turns insights into action.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work collaboratively with the product pod to align on core metrics for the product and the levers to impact them

  • Become embedded with the product, design, and engineering teams to define key metrics, answer important questions, and influence the product roadmap

  • Improve the customer adoption, retention, and satisfaction through designing and executing product experiments to optimize customer experience and fit

  • Forecast and assess the business impact of new customer acquisition flows and designs, and any product enhancements

  • Forecast revenue (subscriptions, fees) and cost drivers (delinquencies, payment costs, etc.)

  • Design and optimize underwriting and collection strategies

  • Collaborate with Data Science to support the deployment and ongoing evaluation of predictive models that inform the risk profile of prospective customers and their ability to pay on an ongoing basis

  • Build monitoring dashboards to track model performance post-launch and surface when adjustments are needed

  • Translate model outputs into business-legible insights for stakeholders across product, finance, and leadership to influence product strategy and roadmap

  • Ad-hoc analysis for high-priority initiatives for leadership stakeholders

What you have:

  • 4-6+ years in a product analytics or strategy role

  • Experience in a fast-paced consumer finance or fintech startup environment is strongly preferred.

  • Advanced SQL — you write complex queries from scratch and are comfortable maintaining data models. Exposure to Python or R is a plus.

  • Ability to synthesize often ambiguous problems into a hypothesis-driven data investigation to weave a story together. Ability to then present the story employing data visualization to improve stakeholder understanding and steer strategic initiatives.

  • Successful record of succinctly communicating qualitative and quantitative results in verbal and written communications for technical, business, and executive audiences.

  • Demonstrated capacity to manage collaborative relationships and assert influence without authority, particularly when working with product managers, design, marketing, and engineering teams.

  • Ability to break large projects into smaller pieces to meet deadlines and convert ideas into testable hypotheses and/or next steps

  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced and often ambiguous work environment

  • Strong sense of intellectual curiosity about our users and products, balanced with humility, drive, and teamwork

  • Ability to thrive in a remote and sometimes ambiguous environment.
