Solvd Inc. is a rapidly growing AI-native consulting and technology services firm delivering enterprise transformation across cloud, data, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. We work with industry-leading organizations to design, build, and operationalize technology solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.

Following the acquisition of Tooploox, a premier AI and product development company, Solvd now offers true end-to-end delivery—from strategic advisory and solution design to custom AI development and enterprise-scale implementation. Our capability centers combine deep technical expertise, proven delivery methodologies, and sector-specific knowledge to address complex business challenges quickly and effectively.

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support the design and modernization of an enterprise‑scale Data Lakehouse platform for a FinTech organization.

This is a hands‑on role focused on Azure Databricks, PySpark, and data pipelines, with data security and governance as key components of the overall solution. The consultant will work closely with client teams and an external vendor responsible for tokenization and data protection.

What you'll do

Data Engineering & Platform Delivery
  • Design and build ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake).

  • Apply Bronze / Silver / Gold data modeling patterns.

  • Support on‑premises to Azure cloud migrations of data platforms and pipelines.

  • Implement batch and event‑driven ingestion patterns where required.

Data Security & PII/PCI Handling
  • Apply PII/PCI data protection practices within data pipelines, including masking, encryption, and controlled access.

  • Collaborate with an external vendor responsible for implementing tokenization solutions.

  • Support decisions on where tokenization is applied (ingestion, inline, or external systems).

  • Ensure sensitive data does not unnecessarily flow into analytics or reporting layers.

  • Use cloud‑native services to ensure encryption in transit and at rest.

Azure & Databricks Governance
  • Work with Databricks Unity Catalog to organize data assets and manage access controls.

  • Implement basic row‑level and column‑level access policies aligned with client requirements.

  • Contribute to governance alignment across Databricks, Azure Fabric, and Power BI, without duplicating policies.

Consulting & Collaboration
  • Act as a consultative partner, not just a task executor.

  • Ask questions, challenge assumptions, and propose improvements.

  • Work closely with client teams and other vendors to align on technical decisions.

What you bring

Required
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering / data platforms

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Databricks and PySpark.

  • Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud environments.

  • Experience with Azure data platforms.

  • Experience supporting on‑prem to cloud data migrations.

  • Practical experience handling PII or sensitive data in regulated environments.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with Unity Catalog.

  • Exposure to Azure Fabric and OneLake.

  • Experience in banking, credit union, insurance, or FinTech environments.

  • Familiarity with data governance, masking, or encryption concepts.

When you join Solvd, you'll…

  • Shape real-world AI-driven projects across key industries, working with clients from startup innovation to enterprise transformation.

  • Be part of a global team with equal opportunities for collaboration across continents and cultures.

  • Thrive in an inclusive environment that prioritizes continuous learning, innovation, and ethical AI standards.

Ready to make an impact?

If you're excited to build things that matter, champion responsible AI, and grow with some of the industry’s sharpest minds. Apply today and let’s innovate together.
