Seeking a Senior Data Scientist to establish a data-driven culture, develop dashboards, and define metrics for growth. Requires 7+ years of experience.
We are looking for our first Data Scientist. You are a highly motivated individual contributor. You will define a data-driven-culture across our consumer product and developer platform. You will define our north star metrics and establish source-of-truth dashboards that the entire team can use to answer their own growth, product and research questions. You should expect to be working cross functionally across product, growth and research.

Responsibilities
- Embed in the product, growth and research teams to uncover ways to drive growth
- Set up the data science infrastructure and dashboards in a way so all teams can answer most questions in a self-serve way
- Establish a data driven culture by identifying, communicating and socializing our north-star-metrics
- Define and answer tests for impact of growth tests, product changes and model changes on the end users
Background
- 7+ years of experience in a data science role. Ideally a founding data scientist or lead analyst at a hyper growth product or research company.
- While you are not a software engineer you are comfortable building and maintaining a modern data stack
- Push to define and implement metrics
- Push to design and analyze experiments with clear insights and recommendations
- You are a self-starter who gets the job done
- Have superb communication skills with the ability to communicate cross functionality
- You have outstanding interpersonal skills and can build great relationships
- You have a sense of humor
Compensation
- The pay range for this position in California is $200,000 - $250,000yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience. We also offer competitive equity packages in the form of stock options and a comprehensive benefits plan.
