Humana is expanding how episodic content connects with members, patients, caregivers, and communities through meaningful audio and digital experiences. As Senior Digital Media Content Strategist, you will help plan, develop, publish, and optimize recurring content that reaches customers in everyday moments and supports Humana’s brand, business, and engagement goals.
In a typical day, you may manage platform relationships, build and maintain the content calendar, coordinate production needs, guide content development, review performance insights, and partner across creative, digital, analytics, compliance, and business teams to deliver useful, audience-centered episodic content.

The Senior Digital Content Strategist supports the strategy, planning, development, and optimization of episodic content across audio and digital platforms. This role turns audience insights, business priorities, and editorial themes into clear content plans and repeatable publishing routines. The strategist works closely with internal teams and external platforms to ensure content is engaging, compliant, on brand, and easy for customers to access. This work helps Humana build stronger relationships with members, patients, caregivers, and communities by delivering relevant content in the moments that matter. 

Key Role Functions

  • Manage day-to-day interactions with audio and digital platforms to publish and support impactful episodic content

  • Develop and maintain the content calendar, including themes, timing, dependencies, production milestones, and stakeholder reviews

  • Lead development of content that engages customers in their everyday lives and supports member, patient, caregiver, and community needs

  • Partner with creative, digital, analytics, compliance, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver content that is audience-centered, on brand, and compliant

  • Use performance insights, audience feedback, and platform trends to improve content quality, engagement, and future planning

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Digital Media, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

  • 5+ years of experience in content strategy, editorial strategy, digital content, audio content, content marketing, publishing, or related marketing communications roles

  • 3+ years of experience developing, managing, publishing, or optimizing content for digital platforms, audio platforms, websites, newsletters, podcasts, or recurring content series

  • Demonstrated experience building content calendars, editorial plans, production timelines, or stakeholder review workflows

  • Experience using audience insights, performance data, platform metrics, or reporting tools to inform content decisions and improve outcomes

P​referred Qualifications 

  • Experience developing recurring content within an in-house agency, health care company, insurance company, media organization, publisher, or other regulated industry

  • Experience managing day-to-day relationships with audio, podcast, content management, publishing, workflow, or analytics platforms

  • Experience with tools such as Adobe Experience Manager, Workfront, Aprimo, Monday.com, Sprinklr, Adobe Experience Platform, or similar platforms

  • Experience coordinating vendors, production partners, platform partners, or agency resources

  • Experience presenting content plans, editorial recommendations, performance insights, or optimization opportunities to leaders and cross-functional stakeholders

Location & Work Arrangement 

  • Preferred locations: Arlington, VA; Louisville, KY; Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Tampa, FL; Nashville, TN; Dallas, TX; Seattle, WA; Denver, CO; Fort Lauderdale, FL

  • Periodic in-office work may be required to support collaboration, key meetings, and leadership engagement. Remote options will be considered based on role needs and candidate experience

Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$86,300 - $118,700 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
