DESCRIPTION
The Senior Director, Digital Finance Transformation, will serve as a senior enterprise transformation leader responsible for shaping and advancing Michael Baker International's future-state finance ecosystem. This role will lead the strategy, design, governance, and execution of digital finance transformation initiatives, with Oracle Fusion Cloud as the primary enabling platform and with integrated enterprise platforms, automation, data, analytics, and responsible AI-enabled capabilities supporting the broader future-state operating model.
This leader will partner closely with Finance, Operations, Project Accounting, Procurement, IT, Shared Services, HR, and executive leadership to standardize and modernize end-to-end finance and enterprise business processes. The role will provide leadership across Record-to-Report, Project-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Enterprise Planning and Forecasting, reporting, controls, and shared services integration.
Acting as both a strategic advisor and hands-on transformation operator, the Senior Director will drive fit-to-standard process design, reduce functional silos, strengthen governance, improve financial and operational visibility, and ensure that technology-enabled transformation delivers measurable enterprise value. This role is accountable for aligning process design, data, controls, system decisions, adoption, and continuous improvement to enable a scalable, efficient, and insight-driven finance organization for the future.
Essential Duties:
- Lead the finance transformation initiatives, setting the strategic direction and driving execution across multiple programs (ERP implementation, acquisitions due diligence and integration efforts)
- Help to drive the design, build, and deployment of Oracle Fusion ERP and integrated finance solutions, ensuring alignment with business and finance strategy
- Serve as the executive decision authority for critical design standards and exceptions, ensuring solutions deliver sustainable business value.
- Drive fit-to-standard transformation that simplifies operations, eliminates fragmentation, and supports the requirements of a project-based and technology-driven business.
- Govern finance processes, procedures, reporting and system workflows/requirements, ensuring standardization, strong controls, and financial integrity across systems and reports
- Accelerate the adoption of AI, analytics, and automation to improve productivity, decision-making, controls and employee experience.
- Establish a continuous improvement discipline that delivers measurable efficiencies and sustained value realization.
- Partner with senior finance and business leaders to shape strategy, enable decision-making, and drive performance improvements
- Drive end-to-end process integration and continuous improvement across finance and related functions
- Lead cross-functional teams, system integrators, and external partners to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions on time and within scope
- Anticipate business, regulatory, and operational challenges, ensuring effective governance and successful global deployment
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly manages finance transformation team and functions; three to five direct reports
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field
- MBA, Master's Degree, or advanced financial education preferred.
- Ability to travel 25%-35%
- 10-15 years of experience
- Extensive experience leading finance transformation programs, with a strong focus on Oracle Fusion and ERP implementations
- Deep expertise in ERP Finance and end-to-end finance processes, particularly Project Financials, Record-to-Report (R2R), Project-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Planning & Forecasting, Shared Services, and related business functions.
- Proven ability to deliver large-scale transformation initiatives from design through deployment
- Senior leadership experience with a track record of influencing executives and managing complex stakeholder environments
- Strong understanding of finance systems and tools across areas project accounting, project delivery
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver business-critical outcomes
COMPENSATION
The approximate base compensation range for this position is $225K-$275K and is bonus eligible. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
