About the Role

Our products move fast. Our field has to move faster.

As Senior Director, Global Enablement, you'll lead the function that gets every Abnormal seller, engineer, customer success leader, and channel partner ready to win, and keeps them ready as our platform grows. Reporting to Ted Noble, VP of GTM Operations, you'll lead a team of enablement directors, managers, and their teams across field enablement, technical enablement, onboarding, certifications, and partner enablement. You'll own the programs people remember, from our in-person onboarding bootcamps to field enablement events, and you'll build the system behind them: an AI-first, just-in-time enablement engine with feedback loops that turn what's happening in the field into what we teach next. This is a role for someone who wants to help make Abnormal the #1 AI-native company and who cares about helping people get better at their craft.

Enablement is a core growth driver at Abnormal. We're growing quickly, protecting more than 5,000 customers including 30% of the Fortune 500, and our next chapter is the transition from email security to the Abnormal Behavioral AI platform, with multiple products across email, identity, and AI security. That shift only turns into growth if every seller, engineer, and partner can tell the platform story, sell multiple products into the same account, and support customers as they expand. We're also launching new products faster than traditional, quarterly training cycles can keep up with. You'll make enablement the engine that turns our platform strategy into pipeline, multi-product deals, and expansion.

What You Will Do
  • Make enablement a core growth driver. Position enablement as a strategic lever for the company's growth plan, directly tied to the shift to the Abnormal Behavioral AI platform. Build the programs that help the field move from single-product deals to platform and multi-product selling, and land, expand, and retain customers across the portfolio.
  • Lead a global, unified enablement organization. Set the strategy and operating model for field, technical, customer success, and partner enablement, and lead a multi-team organization of directors and managers, developing them into the next generation of enablement leaders and building succession across the function.
  • Build role-based programs for every field role. Design learning paths, programs, and skill development for AEs, SDRs, Sales Engineers, Customer Success, Professional Services, sales leaders, and Channel partners, each tuned to what that role needs to succeed.
  • Own role-based certifications. Define the standards that show someone is ready, from first-meeting readiness to product and technical mastery, and hold a high bar for certification quality, not just completion.
  • Run world-class onboarding and bootcamps. Own our in-person onboarding bootcamps and new hire programs so every GTM hire ramps quickly and arrives in front of customers prepared.
  • Own in-person field enablement. Plan and deliver high-impact live programs, including regional workshops, launch events, and enablement moments at company kickoffs, that build skills and energy across the field.
  • Lead technical enablement. Build product and technical depth across the GTM organization, aligned to our product portfolio, so every role understands what each product does, how the products work together as a platform, and how to position them against competitors.
  • Build partner and channel enablement. Create a scalable partner enablement program, including onboarding, certifications, and technical readiness, so partners can sell and deliver Abnormal with less reliance on our field teams.
  • Build an AI-first, just-in-time enablement engine. Design the system that gets the right answer, asset, or practice to the right person at the moment they need it, using AI role play, AI coaching, in-workflow guidance, and automated reinforcement. Set the standard that AI scales enablement without sacrificing accuracy or depth.
  • Keep pace with product velocity. Partner with Product and Product Marketing on a repeatable launch-readiness process with clear inputs, timelines, and readiness gates, so the field is certified and confident at launch.
  • Create continuous feedback loops. Use call insights, deal outcomes, certification data, and field feedback to find skill gaps early and adjust programs continuously.
  • Measure what matters. Track enablement impact on ramp time, certification quality, field confidence, behavior change, multi-product attach, and pipeline and revenue outcomes, and report it clearly to GTM and executive leadership.
  • Plan and allocate resources across teams. Own prioritization, intake, capacity planning, and budget across the enablement organization, including the enablement tech stack.
  • Be a strategic partner across GTM. Work closely with Sales, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Channel, Product, Product Marketing, and Revenue Operations leadership to align enablement with company priorities.
Must Haves
  • 12+ years of experience in sales, technical, or GTM enablement at a high-growth B2B SaaS company, with at least 6 years leading teams, including leading multiple managers or directors across a global organization spanning North America, EMEA, and APJ.
  • Proven track record building and scaling enablement for multiple field roles, including AEs, SDRs, Sales Engineers, and Customer Success.
  • Experience enabling a GTM organization through a transition from a single product to a multi-product platform, with measurable impact on growth.
  • Experience designing and running role-based certification programs and in-person onboarding bootcamps at scale.
  • Experience building or scaling partner and channel enablement programs.
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI to enablement, such as AI role play, AI coaching, or just-in-time, in-workflow learning, with sound judgment about where AI helps and where human coaching matters most.
  • Track record running product launch readiness in a fast-moving, multi-product environment.
  • Strong command of enablement measurement, with experience tying programs to ramp, productivity, and revenue outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the presence to lead a room of sellers and the credibility to influence executive and senior GTM leaders.
Nice to Haves
  • Experience with tools in our ecosystem, such as Highspot, Gong, Glean, Articulate Rise, and Synthesia.
  • Background in cybersecurity or another technical, enterprise-focused category.
  • Experience consolidating or migrating an enablement tech stack, including LMS platforms.
