Description

WHO WE ARE

Come join the company at the center of how the world adopts AI securely. Cyera’s mission is to give enterprises the confidence to embrace AI safely — deciding exactly what it can see and do as it reaches deeper into the business. We started by solving the hardest problem in data security: finding and securing data faster and more precisely than anyone thought possible. That foundation is now the essential AI trust infrastructure for the Fortune 1000. We’re hiring mission-driven talent to put those leaders at the center of our story.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Cyera is hiring a Senior Director of Renewals. This is a senior leadership role responsible for owning and scaling the full renewal motion across the global customer base. This role owns the process, people, and performance of renewals including forecasting, risk identification, contract preparation, negotiation support and on-time close. The Senior Director will report to the Chief Customer Officer and will partner closely with Sales and Customer Success to build scalable processes, drive forecast accuracy, and retention.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Team leadership: Build, lead and scale a team of Renewal Managers who own operational execution of the renewals book — timelines, contracts, risk identification, and negotiation. Set clear performance expectations and foster a high accountability culture.
  • Own the renewals motion (R): Renewals is Responsible (R) for driving the end-to-end renewal process; the Account Executive remains Accountable (A) for the commercial outcome and the customer relationship on their book. In that context, develop and execute renewals motions that account for customer segmentation, risk tiers and expansion potential and define clear handoffs between Renewals, AE, CS, Legal, and Deal Desk at each stage.
  • Forecasting & Risk: Own the renewals forecast cadence with a high degree of accuracy; deliver executive-level reporting on pipeline health, churn risk and retention performance.
  • Performance: Own Cohort Renewal rate (At Bat Renewal) and on-time renewal performance as the team's core KPIs, as well as forecast accuracy.
  • Cross-functional partnership: Work closely with Sales (AEs and AE leadership), Customer Success, Deal Desk, Legal, and Finance to streamline contracting, pricing approvals, and paperwork turnaround.
  • Process & tooling: Build and continuously improve the renewal playbooks; drive improvements in CRM/CLM tooling, dashboards, and reporting to increase velocity and reduce manual work.
  • Reporting and analytics: Report renewal pipeline, risk, and forecast to the CCO and cross-functional leadership on a regular cadence. Analyze renewal and churn trends and customer insights to help influence Product, CS, and broader GTM strategy.

What Success Looks Like

  • Cohort Renewal rate (At Bat Renewal) and on-time renewal performance hit or exceed target.
  • Renewal risk is flagged early and consistently, with clear save-plan ownership alongside AEs and Customer Success.
  • Renewal cycle time (from process kickoff to signature) shortens quarter over quarter.
  • AEs and CS leadership view Renewals as a trusted, high-throughput partner — not a bottleneck.
  • Renewal execution is aligned with industry best practices, leading to strong commercial outcomes & a positive customer sentiment
Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10-15+ years in renewals, customer success, or revenue operations, including people management experience building or scaling a team.
  • Track record owning GRR, cohort renewal rate, and renewal-rate KPIs at scale in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Experience operating in a RACI-style model where renewals execution is separated from commercial deal ownership, and comfort partnering with (not competing against) AE leadership.
  • Strong process and systems orientation — CRM, CLM, and forecasting tools.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and executive communication skills.
