About the Role

NewsBreak is building a category-defining, in-house advertising platform — and we're looking for a Senior Director, Head of Growth to own its commercial engine end to end. This is the top growth leadership role for NewsBreak Ads: you will build and scale advertiser demand across direct and agency channels, and forge the ecosystem partnerships — tracking, ad networks, attribution, and measurement — that make our platform a first-choice buy for performance and brand marketers alike.

Modeled on the growth and agency-partnership leadership functions at platforms like TikTok, Meta, and Google and performance ad networks such as MediaGo, this role blends hands-on commercial hunting with the strategic relationship-building and cross-functional leadership required to stand up a demand ecosystem from the ground up. You will lead a growing team of business development managers and account managers team, who report directly to this role — and partner deeply with Product and Engineering to turn client and market insight into platform advantage.

This is a senior, revenue-owning leadership position for someone who wants to build the demand side of a fast-growing ad platform — and own the outcome.

Responsibilities

Demand-Side Growth (Direct): Build and scale a direct-sales motion — source, pitch, negotiate, and close advertiser demand across performance and brand verticals, owning the pipeline from prospect to renewal.

  • Agency & Holding-Company Partnerships: Establish and grow relationships with independent agencies and the major holding companies; drive sustainable revenue, product adoption, and long-term platform investment through agency channels.
  • Ecosystem Partnerships: Own strategic partnerships across the digital-advertising value chain — mobile measurement partners (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Kochava), attribution and tracking companies, ad networks, DSPs/SSPs, and other adtech providers — to expand demand access, improve measurement, and strengthen platform competitiveness.
  • Revenue Ownership: Own the demand-side revenue goal for NewsBreak Ads end to end — targets, pipeline, forecasting, and quarter-over-quarter growth across direct, agency, and partner-sourced demand.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, hire, and develop the growth team, including the App and Local Business Development Managers; set strategy, coach for performance, and build a repeatable, scalable go-to-market org.
  • Product & Platform Partnership: Partner with Product and Engineering, feeding client and campaign performance insight back into the roadmap to improve monetization, targeting, measurement, and advertiser ROI.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Define pricing, packaging, and positioning for the platform in market; identify and prioritize the verticals, partners, and channels with the greatest demand upside.
  • Reporting: Report on demand growth, pipeline health, partnership performance, and revenue to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
  •  8+ years in digital advertising, with a proven track record in demand-side business development, agency partnerships, and/or platform sales — including several years in a leadership or people-management capacity.
  • Demonstrated ownership of a significant revenue goal at a self-service, programmatic, or performance advertising platform, DSP, ad network, or comparable adtech company.
  • Established relationships across the buy side — direct advertisers, independent agencies, and holding companies — and a track record of opening and scaling those channels.
  • Deep familiarity with the adtech ecosystem: mobile measurement partners (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Kochava), attribution and tracking providers, ad networks, DSPs/SSPs, and programmatic mechanics.

Benefits

We offer a competitive benefits package:

  • Health, dental, and vision care for you and your family
  • Top-tier 401(k) plan with company matching
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Paid parental leave
  • FSA and commuter benefits programs
  • Team activity budget
