The Sr. Director, Sales Programs role could be the right fit for you at Salesforce!
We are currently looking for high-energy, driven, top talent with a deep knowledge of effective tactics and strategies to grow pipeline and revenue. The ideal candidate has an analytical mind with the ability to act as a trusted adviser and business partner to senior executive leadership, while working cross-functionally. This individual also must be comfortable analyzing complex data sets, adept at prescribing and prioritizing solutions to meet business problems, and is comfortable presenting to large audiences.
This role combines the creative process of designing prescriptive programs and strategies, with the “business end” of operationalizing these programs with field teams to ensure they are executed and produce results.
Most importantly, the ideal candidate can inspire and lead a team of Sales Programs managers to ideate, design, and execute these impactful programs needed for the business to succeed.

Responsibilities:
You will lead a team of Sales Program Managers. You will be collaborating with Sales Leaders, Corporate Marketing, Product Marketing, Data Science Teams, Sales Operations, and Sales Enablement to design and execute sales programs that drive results and impact. This role and your directs will support our exciting and rapidly growing Financial Services and Specialists Business (inclusive of products such as Slack, Revenue Cloud, Service, Tableau, Marketing Cloud & Platform).
In addition to leading a team of Sales Program Managers you will own strategic initiatives end to end that support the broader organization.
The following skills will help ensure your success in the role:
Cross-Functional Relationship Management

  • Builds trusted partnerships and works cross-functionally to share information and resources, problem-solving, and produce better outcomes
  • Work with sales stakeholders to align on high-level business priorities for the quarter and year
  • Build and deliver presentations to management and senior sales executives

Data Analytics

  • Analyze sales performance and health of the business to create programs addressing pipeline and productivity gaps and standardize processes
  • Leverage reports and data to gain quantitative insights into a business challenge

Program Design & Delivery

  • Synthesize data and create programs to address gaps in the business, bringing in cross-functional teams as needed
  • Develops creative net new approaches or processes to solve new or emerging problems
  • Empowers your team to delivers compelling & impactful programs to large & diverse audiences of sellers; comfortable presenting to large groups

Operational Implementation

  • Structured project management skills with the ability to engage in the right actions and cross-functional teams to drive successful goal attainment and consistently produce strong results despite day-to-day challenges
  • Operationalize the program from start to finish, which includes managing the execution across multiple cross-functional teams, delivery, follow-up, and managing-up engagement metrics post-program launch
  • Change management based on program performance and Key Performance Indicators

  • Asks questions and seeks out input from others to develop the best solutions and ideas
  • Fosters a culture of interdependence, encouragement, teamwork, collaboration, and communication

Required Skills/Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in Sales, Sales Leadership, Sales Strategy, Sales Programs, or Sales Operations.
    • 5+ years of people leader experience
  • Experience designing (or influencing the design) of revenue-producing sales campaigns and/or programs.
  • Experience drawing actionable insights from data sets in their most common forms (Excel, Business Objects, Salesforce.com, etc.)
  • Mastery of effective sales strategies
  • Ability to design prescriptive programs and strategies, and then “operationalize” them
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales leaders, sales strategy, data science, corporate marketing, product marketing, and enablement
  • Highly skilled in Salesforce reporting/dashboards, Einstein Analytics, Tableau, and excel
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as public speaking proficiency; create and deliver executive-level presentations
  • Operational rigor and track record of cross-stakeholder program management and execution
  • Ability to succeed in a collaborative, startup fast-paced environment
  • Established credibility and trust with senior management or boards on business strategy
  • Preferred, but not require:
    • MBA
    • Consulting experience

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $181,700 - $304,700 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $218,100 - $332,600 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
