You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Own end to end engineering accountability for a large scale, transaction heavy platform supporting client enhancements, regulatory delivery, and strategic modernization
  • Lead 10-12 cross functional teams across Software Engineering, QA, DevOps, and SRE, driving predictable execution through measurable delivery, quality, and reliability metrics
  • Partner with Product and Architecture to define and execute multi year platform roadmaps aligned to business and enterprise technology strategy
  • Own production stability, availability, and operational health across all client implementations.
  • Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts to reduce MTTR and prevent recurrence
  • Ensure compliance with PCI, SOC, HIPAA (as applicable), and enterprise security standards for sensitive financial and healthcare data
  • Lead modernization of legacy systems through cloud migration, architectural re platforming, and automation first engineering practices
  • Govern integration with externally hosted SaaS platforms, serving as the technical and execution bridge between internal systems and vendors
  • Sponsor responsible adoption of AI enabled engineering tools to improve productivity, quality, and delivery forecasting
  • Build and lead a high performing leadership team, including managers and senior technical leaders, with clear accountability and succession planning
  • Drive organizational maturity across Agile delivery, DevSecOps, and platform ownership models
  • Communicate delivery health, operational risk, and modernization progress to senior and executive stakeholders
  • Represent OCPN Engineering in enterprise governance, architecture reviews, and strategic planning forums

Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading managers in a multi layer organization
  • 8+ years of experience with executive ownership of at least one large scale platform modernization or re platforming initiative, accountable from architecture through production
  • 8+ years of hands on technical leadership credibility, able to guide architectural decisions and engage deeply with senior engineers
  • 5+ years of experience in modernization and transformation of internal platforms
  • 5+ years leadership of 12+ engineers, including 3+ direct manager reports
  • Solid expertise in secure SDLC and DevSecOps within regulated environments (e.g., PCI, SOC, HIPAA)
  • Proven accountability for availability, reliability, observability, and operational health of a mission critical, transaction heavy platform

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to influence and partner across Product, Architecture, Security, Operations, and senior business leadership
  • Executive level communication skills; ability to represent the platform in senior leadership and governance forums

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $159,300 to $273,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
