Corcept is scaling its technology operations to support a growing, regulated biopharma business. This IT leader will modernize infrastructure, mature service delivery, strengthen GxP-aligned operations, and build a scalable IT operating model across internal teams and managed service partners.

The Senior Director of Technology Enablement (TE), reporting to the Vice President of IT, will be responsible for driving the IT strategy, support, operations, and service delivery for our Infrastructure, Networking, Desktop Computers, mobile, end-user support, and core enabling technologies. This position will ensure that our enabling technologies support a dynamic, responsive, adaptive technology landscape that enhances our drug discovery and development processes. The Sr. Director of TE will manage a data and quality-driven IT support organization based on the ITIL 4 model and lead a team of FTEs and Managed Service Providers.
Responsibilities:

  • Implement, and manage core GxP/Qualified ITSM functions for the organization including requests, incident management, problem management, CAPA, Deviations, and Change Management
  • Build an adaptive, continuously improving service desk team providing staffed coverage for standard Corcept Business Hours (US & EU) and 24/7 after-hours support
  • Develop scalable desktop engineering team
  • Develop cloud-focused infrastructure and networking groups
  • Develop workplace applications team to support core IT Operations systems including, O365, Box, Okta, MDM, DocuSign and others
  • Develop and maintain 3-year technology roadmaps, total cost of ownership and value realization models for core IT Operations systems
  • Lead a team of full-time employees and managed service providers supporting service desk, infrastructure, and workplace applications
  • Manage relationships with key technology vendors and research partners
  • Champion the ITSM processes across the organization ensuring accurate and timely data and service delivery
  • Collaborate with other IT teams in support of efficient hand-offs and overall communications
  • Support and partner with the Vice President of IT, taking the lead on key initiatives

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:

  • Strong understanding of supporting qualified infrastructure and systems for Life Sciences industry
  • Strong record of delivering complex technology projects successfully addressing business needs
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for leveraging technology to solve business problems
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business growth, regulatory expectations, and operational risk into practical technology roadmaps, service models, and measurable execution plans
  • Strong understanding of building and operating a technology support function leveraging the ITIL 4 model for building quality processes into all areas of operations
  • Experience operating IT services in a regulated life sciences environment, including GxP, validated/qualified systems, audit readiness, change control, deviations, CAPA, and evidence-based operations

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA degree is required. Training or equivalent experience in IT or business management is beneficial but not required
  • 12+ years of experience in life sciences with a focus on IT system delivery
  • 5+ years of experience managing a Service Desk, IT Operations, and Infrastructure teams
  • Excellent communication skills

The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this headquarters-based position is $256,000 - $312,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.

 Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
