Job Title: Senior Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA

Duration: 5+ Months Contract

Job Description:

Client is looking for a senior engineer to work on systems supporting real-time daily operations for thousands of small businesses. Client employs web-scale architecture in services used regularly by everyday consumers and small businesses. Client is in middle of technology overhaul to move monolith architecture to micro services to enable us to deliver continuously and Client believe in empowering developers to be responsible for producing high-quality code. There will be plenty of time to learn what makes consultant unique, but here’s what we know about consultant already:

• Consultant like to develop, test, maintain, and support innovative software-as-a-service products

• Consultant are interested in designing scalable, reliable and secure software architecture powering Demandforce’s SaaS-based technology platform using React.js, Node.JS, Java, Scala.

• Consultant collaborate with peers, quality assurance engineers, and release engineering to ensure each release is successful.

• Consultant like to work in all phases of a rapid product development lifecycle 

• Consultant are not afraid of large legacy code, but more than willing to contribute/improve the code overtime

• Consultant are communicative with good sense of idealism and pragmatism

• Consultant excited to use the latest tools like React.js, Node.JS, CoffeeScript, Docker

• The idea of deploying continuously to a site that gets a ton of traffic is more exciting than scary.

• Consultant endlessly curious and thrive in an environment where you’re continually learning and solving new problems...doing things you’ve already done is boring.

We are not looking for just a resume; this person must be able to show their experience and proficiency in this area to be successful. 

Candidate must possess strong software development skills to create conceptual and reference content including working code samples would be preferred 

They should be able to provide samples of API reference documentation that include XSDs, XML and/or JSON response samples 

If you have participated actively in API development cycles, providing feedback on the APIs themselves, and can show samples of developer tutorials and, ideally, dynamic websites, we want to meet you.
