Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Executive Assistant to partner closely with our CTO, supporting their leadership across Wise’s Global Engineering & Technology organisation and North America.

This is a high-impact role at the centre of a fast-moving, global organisation. You’ll combine exceptional executive support with strong judgement, stakeholder management and operational ownership - helping the CTO focus their time and attention on the things that matter most.

You’ll become deeply embedded in the CTO’s priorities and leadership team, building the context and relationships needed to anticipate what’s coming, make confident decisions and keep a complex global operating rhythm running smoothly.

What you’ll do

  • Own the CTO’s complex global calendar, balancing priorities across North America, Europe and Asia and making thoughtful decisions about where their time is best spent.

  • Act as a trusted strategic partner, anticipating needs, protecting focus time, preparing for key meetings and decisions, and keeping important actions and follow-ups moving.

  • Build strong relationships across Wise, particularly with the Engineering Leadership Team, senior executives and their support teams.

  • Coordinate complex domestic and international travel, creating detailed itineraries and handling changes calmly when plans shift.

  • Own key leadership events and offsites, including Dev Lead offsites and supporting major Engineering events such as Tech Day.

  • Support senior recruiting and organisational priorities, including coordinating interviews, leadership sessions and other high-impact moments.

  • Improve how the executive office operates, identifying recurring friction and creating smarter, more scalable processes using technology, AI and automation where useful.

  • Contribute to our BOSS community, sharing best practices, raising standards and supporting other EAs across Wise.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has significant experience supporting a senior executive in a complex, fast-paced and ideally global organisation.

  • Has managed highly complex calendars and competing priorities across multiple time zones.

  • Uses excellent judgement and can confidently prioritise, push back and make decisions without always needing direction.

  • Is proactive and anticipates what an executive and leadership team will need before being asked.

  • Builds trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and handles confidential information with discretion.

  • Communicates clearly and concisely and stays calm and solutions-focused when plans change.

  • Has experience managing complex international travel and delivering leadership offsites or events end to end.

  • Is comfortable using technology, AI and automation to make executive workflows more effective.

  • Enjoys operating with a high degree of autonomy and contributing beyond their immediate responsibilities.

Additional Information

A few details about the role

This role is based in person in our Austin office. Our CTO works across North America, Europe and Asia, so flexibility is important. There will be times when early-morning availability is needed to support global meetings, alongside periodic domestic and international travel.
