Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human
Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence.
This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.

About the team

As the leading independent identity provider for the enterprise, Okta is on a mission to build a world-class brand. Driving that mission is the Brand & Creative team: a dynamic group of designers, writers, strategists, and producers who bring the Okta brand to life across every touchpoint.

A key part of our strategy is the work of our Brand & Experiences Creative team, which is crafting a powerful experiential design system to scale across physical and digital environments globally. We are seeking a visionary Senior Designer to help lead this charge, shaping the future of how people interact with the Okta brand in tangible, memorable ways.

About the role

As a Senior Experiences Designer, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing and producing high-impact event and spatial activation creative. You will help shape how the world engages with the Okta brand across our most important platforms—from flagship events like Oktane and Showcase to our major third-party and field event presences around the globe.

We are looking for a world-class creative who’s also a natural collaborator and communicator. The ideal candidate can execute brilliant design while seamlessly managing complex projects, partnering cross-functionally, and presenting to senior stakeholders. In this role, you will help guide the team's creative output, ensuring our experiential strategy is as intentional and efficient as it is visually stunning.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead Creative Concepting & Production: Drive the creative vision and tactical production for a wide range of events, from Tier-1 owned events (like Oktane) to bespoke third-party activations (at Gartner, AWS, and RSAC).
  • Elevate the Attendee Experience: Reimagine our brand's physical presence to create engaging, active, and irresistible activations that captivate attendees and leave a lasting impression.
  • Hands-On Design Execution: Operate as a hands-on practitioner, personally designing spatial layouts, booth graphics, signage, and immersive environmental branding from concept to final delivery.
  • Build the Experiential System: Collaborate with the wider creative team to build, refine, and scale a comprehensive experiential design system that ensures brand consistency and excellence across all events.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Guide creative strategy with key event stakeholders, manage partner expectations with tact and precision, and execute on production-ready designs.
  • Extend our Creative Footprint: Help improve the team’s bandwidth and creative effectiveness by establishing processes that allow us to support a growing roster of field and partner activations.
  • Champion Brand Excellence: Ensure brand consistency, quality, and creative excellence across all physical and hybrid event touchpoints.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Extensive Experience: 6+ years of experience in brand design, experiential design, spatial design, or event production, preferably within an in-house tech environment or top-tier agency.
  • A Stellar Portfolio: A strong body of work showcasing high-quality, large-scale event branding, environmental graphics, and spatial experiences.
  • Stakeholder Management Skills: Exceptional ability to present ideas, advocate for design decisions, and build trusted partnerships with non-creative stakeholders. You know how to navigate complex organizational dynamics gracefully.
  • High Independence & Initiative: Proven ability to own large projects end-to-end, manage multiple overlapping timelines, and proactively solve problems.
  • Deep Craft & Technical Skill: Mastery of Figma, as well as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). Experience with 3D rendering software (e.g., SketchUp, Cinema4D, Blender) is a plus.
  • Strategic Thinking: The ability to zoom out and see the big picture of how an event fits into the broader marketing funnel, balanced with the meticulous attention to detail required for production-ready files.

Extra points if you have

  • Experience working on global event series and adapting localized creative for EMEA and APJ markets.
  • Experience managing external fabrication vendors and print production teams.
