Job Brief

This position will be responsible for helping to drive the financial performance and strategic market expansion of the Commercial Bank. Strong partnering skills and effective communication are integral competencies of this position as an individual in this role will be working closely with senior leadership in both the Line of Business and Finance.  This role will also require strong analytical skills, an enterprise mindset and robust knowledge of financial and profitability concepts. 

Essential Job Functions 

Financial and strategic partner working closely with the Regional Sales Executives in the Commercial Bank:

  • Provides monthly/quarterly reporting analyzing financial results and performance to targets and progress to strategic initiatives
  • Owns the short and long term forecasting process
  • Develops or enhances existing driver based forecast models for the Commercial Bank loan portfolio and associated fees
  • Develop full funnel reporting for new markets performance and profitability
  • Perform ad hoc analyses on market performance including post-mortem analyses
  • Presents to senior leadership on a quarterly or monthly basis with a focus on translating business driver trends to forward looking risks and opportunities
  • Complete required external and regulatory reports as needed
  • Provide research on miscellaneous items and complete ad hoc analysis as necessary
  • Develop strong working relationships with business unit leadership, peers, and partners

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelors Degree (Finance, Accounting or related field)
  • 4+ years of diverse analytical experience in Finance, preferably with exposure to banking
  • Organized self-starter with the ability to think and work independently and creatively
  • Strong financial and/or accounting acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish solid working relationships with multiple teams and individuals with varying levels of expertise
  • Proven team player, willing to assist others as needed to ensure that group deadlines are met and quality standards achieved
  • Detail oriented with the ability to thoroughly analyze and resolve issues with limited direction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize multiple tasks effectively

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with data visualization applications (Tableau) preferred
  • Experience with financial management software applications (Workday Financials, Adaptive Planning, Essbase) preferred
  • Experience with SQL and Google Big Query preferred
  • Commercial Banking experience

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $71,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
