Sphera is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst who will play an integral role in various forecasting, planning, and reporting processes. Primary responsibilities include the maintenance and improvement of the Company’s current business intelligence infrastructure, monthly KPI reporting, as well as financial reporting and forecasting for the Company’s services / consulting business.

Additionally, this role will provide ad-hoc analysis as needed for senior financial leadership, extended executive team, and the Company’s financial sponsor. This role will be highly visible among cross-functional stakeholders and provide the opportunity for diverse business exposure. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, an interest in financial data systems and the ability to design, implement, and improve various reporting / processes.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Finance team’s data & analytics initiatives. This includes the maintenance and improvement of existing Alteryx workflows and PowerBI reports across the various Finance team pillars.
  • Prepare financial and operational KPIs including bookings, pipeline, win rates, average selling price, etc. while identifying areas of opportunity to improve results.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes for the Services / Consulting business. This includes the analysis of monthly financial results against budgets and re-forecasting annual and quarterly projections based on current financial information.
  • Construct financial models to assist in recurring forecasting processes, annual budgeting, and pro-forma scenario planning for internal and external growth opportunities.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting presentations for the Executive team and Board of Directors meetings.
  • Assist with M&A activities such as post-acquisition integration of financial data and systems.
  • Ad-hoc deep dives on pressing business issues and opportunities across the Company.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. 2-4 years of experience in public accounting (preferably Big 4), or 3-5 years of experience in a financial analyst or other related position
  • Alteryx and PowerBI fluency required
  • Advanced Excel (including strong modeling skills) and intermediate PowerPoint skills required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fluid and fast-paced environment with changing responsibilities
  • NetSuite and Salesforce experience a plus, but not a requirement

Pay:

$109,000.00 - $173,000.00 + Eligible for Variable Compensation Plan
