- Makes recommendations to senior management on financial performance and projections using extensive financial knowledge and experience
- Initiates assignments and independently leads integration and analysis of resource forecasts and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) for budgets, functions or pools; financial EACs for contracts or programs
- Leads or consults on the development of process improvements and new performance reports
- Leads in New Business Finance and work closely with Contracts and Business Development
- Leads or consults on analyzing, identifying and implementing working capital improvements
- Initiates assignments and independently leads integration of variance analyses and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to senior management; helps to develop improvement and risk mitigation plans
- Assists in developing business strategy for new business and other activities
- Leads, analyzes and presents business cases using appropriate indices to maximize profitability and shareholder value
- Consults on requirements definition and deployment of common systems, tools, processes and training to improve resource and/or business planning processes
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5+ years of experience in a business-related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management, Marketing & Sales)
- 5+ years of experience with performing financial analysis
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Experience with EAC preparation, Financial Planning, New Business activities (e.g., Contracts or Estimating), Business Operations, and Cost Policy
- Experience with Excel VLOOKUP, pivot tables, business case modeling and other advanced Excel functions
- Experience utilizing excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience working across a multi-functional team
- Experience with Systems Applications and Processing (SAP)
- Experience with both commercial and government contracts
