Senior Full Stack Engineer, Applied Agentic AI — Frontend Dominant - USA

The Role

Cogniify is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer with deep expertise in React and TypeScript to build enterprise product experiences that incorporate agentic AI. This is a hands-on, frontend-dominant role that also requires backend integration skills and the ability to build applications from scratch.

You will turn AI agent capabilities into polished, reliable interfaces for users. You should be comfortable working across the UI and the services behind it, including agents, tools, APIs, application state, and backend systems.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build enterprise applications and product features from scratch.

• Own full-stack features from UI architecture through backend and API integration, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Build enterprise user experiences using React and TypeScript.

• Design reusable UI components, application state patterns, workflows, and interactive experiences around AI agent capabilities.

• Build interfaces for multi-step agent workflows, including agent actions, approvals, results, status, errors, and human-in-the-loop interactions.

• Connect frontend applications with backend services, APIs, agent orchestration layers, and enterprise systems.

• Contribute to backend development when needed to deliver features end to end.

• Build and integrate agentic capabilities such as tool calling, multi-step workflows, context and state handling, retrieval, and enterprise actions.

• Provide users with appropriate controls, validation, failure states, and escalation paths in agent experiences.

• Use Codex, Claude, Claude Code, or similar AI development tools for coding, debugging, testing, and prototyping.

• Participate in product, architecture, and engineering design reviews.

What We’re Looking For

• 6 - 9 years of professional software engineering experience preferred.

• Deep production experience with React and TypeScript.

• Strong frontend architecture, UI engineering, application state management, API integration, and testing experience.

• Genuine full-stack engineering capability, including backend integration and development.

• Experience building enterprise applications or substantial product features from scratch.

• A track record of shipping user-facing applications into production.

• Hands-on familiarity with AI agents and agentic application development.

• Understanding of multi-step agent workflows, tool or function calling, context and state management, RAG or retrieval, and agent-to-API integration.

• Familiarity with agent frameworks or SDKs such as LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, Anthropic tooling, or comparable technologies.

• Familiarity with Codex and/or Claude-assisted software development.

• Strong fundamentals in software testing, debugging, performance, reliability, and production engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Backend experience with Java, Kotlin, Python, Node.js, or comparable production technologies.

• Experience designing human-in-the-loop agent interfaces and complex workflow UIs.

• Experience with real-time or streaming AI interfaces and long-running workflows.

• Experience with agent evaluation, observability, guardrails, and failure handling.

• Experience building SaaS, financial, or other enterprise applications where reliability and user control are important.
