Design, build, and ship full-stack features end-to-end; own significant technical work and standards; use AI tooling across the SDLC; debug and resolve production issues across modern and legacy systems; drive maintainability and fast, reliable delivery.
The summary above was generated by AI

This role flexes to where you're strongest. Some of our work is deep in our established platform: the Salesforce managed package and orchestration systems, where modern and legacy code live side by side. Some is “greenfield”, including new AI and agent-based products. Both share the same expectations: ship fast without letting new work introduce new bugs, favor reuse over duplication, and keep quality and maintainability first-class. Across all of it, we build with AI. We expect senior engineers to use AI tooling fluently across the software development lifecycle, from spec and build through review and test, and to help the team get better at how we apply it.

In this role you'll:

● Design, build, and ship features end to end, from spec through deployment.

● Own significant technical work and drive best practices and standards across the team.

● Use AI tooling fluently across the SDLC and improve how the team applies it.

● Debug and resolve production issues across the stack, across modern and legacy code.

Required experience you bring

● Hands-on experience building and shipping full-stack web applications to production.

● Fluency with AI-assisted development tooling across the SDLC, and the judgment to use it well.

● Experience designing scalable systems and services, including data models, interfaces, and service boundaries.

● Sound judgment on technical trade-offs, from architecture down to implementation.

● A track record of shipping regularly with CI/CD and iterative review processes.

● Strong TypeScript and experience with modern JS frameworks

● Comfort in a large, mature codebase that mixes modern and legacy code.

● Clear written and verbal communication that turns ambiguity into direction the team can act on.

Additional experience (preferred)

● Experience building customer-facing or agent-based AI products.

● Backend experience with Node.js and Express, and relational databases like PostgreSQL.

● Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and working with asynchronous services.

● General understanding of cloud-based systems, deployments, and cross-platform products.

● A track record of modernizing legacy frontends.

Salesforce platform experience (nice to have)

● Solid Apex/Salesforce experience: triggers, SOQL, governor limits, bulkification, test patterns.

● Salesforce Platform Developer certification.

● ISV or managed-package experience.

● Visualforce or Lightning Web Components (LWC).

What we value

● You treat quality and maintainability as first-class outcomes, and want to ship fast while leaving the codebase better.

● You take ownership: you carry work from ambiguity to production and stand behind what you ship.

● You're pragmatic about AI: an enthusiastic adopter who's honest about its limits and quality.

● You make trade-offs explicit and decide, then bring people along.

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
