About the company
Our client is a fast-growing software company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Lead the build-out of a new browser-based client for an existing mobile product, owning the front end as well as the internal tooling around it. Establish technical conventions, collaborate with backend colleagues, and deliver polished, responsive interfaces at pace.
What you'll do
- Launch a new web platform and define the conventions that future web and mobile clients will follow.
- Deliver a browser version of an existing mobile app within a few months, reusing current backend services.
- Set team practices for React development, with possible exposure to React Native.
- Take ownership of internal tools and reporting dashboards so the team works more efficiently and decides with better data.
- Collaborate with backend engineers on service interfaces and data structures, and help tune application performance.
- Craft refined, native-feeling interfaces through animation, subtle interactive details and adaptive layouts.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Hands-on history of taking a consumer web product from nothing to launch in a startup setting, beyond just large-company experience.
- Prior ownership of front-end architecture and engineering standards for a public-facing web application.
- Deep command of React and TypeScript, including current patterns, hooks and performance tuning.
- Skill in turning design mockups into precise, visually polished interfaces with animation.
- Proven ability to set your own priorities and ship quickly when direction is loose and autonomy is high.
Bonus points
- Background in live-updating features, payment flows or games aimed at consumers.
- Prior collaboration with backend teams on service and data design.
- No specific degree required.
