•    Provide technical and applications engineering support for global operations, sales and engineering by reviewing well designs, review of product application alongside hookup and procedures, running torque and drag analysis, swab and surge calculations, tubing stress calculations and all related hydraulic calculations.
•    Participate in design reviews of new product designs presented by the engineering group with a focus on ensuring engineering designs meet project requirements and an eye for standardization and product improvement.
•    Lead development of standardized Operations Manuals for Well Construction products including liner hanger systems, float equipment, etc.
•    Lead introduction of new products by training sales, operations, and customers on new products and services.
•    Assist with development of Statement of Requirements for new product requests (NPRs) and assist with maintaining status of NPRs.
•    Prepare product bulletins/Alerts and make recommendations on need for and timing of potential product bulletins/alerts.
•    Assist in technical writing/review of product marketing materials.
•    Participate in regular cross-functional meetings with sales, regional operations, and region applications engineering in order to continually update objectives and priorities
•    Assist with technical preparation of key Well Construction tenders and bids
•    Assist with troubleshooting analysis incidents and assist with final investigation reports.
•    Provide technical support to supply chain by verifying accuracy of orders including functional requirements and appropriate cost targets.
•    Write and present papers for professional engineering associations, e.g SPE.
•    Complete training plan as set out for the position and within company guidelines.
•    Participates in CAT (Corrective Action Teams) to implement corrective/preventive actions.
•    Performs client interface duties as required, including potential travel for customer presentations
•    Perform other tasks and duties including special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of down hole equipment (e.g. Completions, Liner hangers, Float equipment, liner wiper plugs, Frac sleeves) with significant experience in Liner Hanger Systems

  • Strongly preferred to have rigsite, operational, and/or workshop experience with liner hanger systems.
  • Very skilled in independently proposing appropriate liner hanger system for given application based on available portfolio of products and developing appropriate stab-up and running procedures, as needed.
  • Able to independently perform and train others to perform tubing movement calculations, torque and drag, and swab and surge calculations
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; pleasant and professional manner when interacting with employees, management, and customers 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.  Proven demonstration of effective and efficient interfacing with all levels of employees, vendors and customers.
  • Must demonstrate a proven ability to coordinate, direct and maintain highly confidential work.
  • Adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands, projects, and priorities.
  • Sound analytical and interpretational skills 
  • Skilled in developing customer presentations and presenting to customers
  • Skilled in motivation, coaching, delegation, and training

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Visio desktop applications
  • Desired experience with TadPro Software or, alternatively, experience modeling Torque and Drag using other software

  • Location based in Houston, Texas

  • Majority of support provided from Houston, however business travel to regions may be required up to 15% (Domestic and International) 
  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Science discipline.
  • 8+ total years of experience within Oilfield Services with significant focus on Well Construction products
  • 3+ months of direct field experience with Well Construction equipment running liner hanger system jobs in the field. 
  • 5+ years experience in running/analyzing Torque and Drag simulations, creating Standard Operating Procedures for Well Construction/Liner Hanger System products, and performing technical or commercial reviews for liner hanger tenders exceeding $500,000 USD in value
  • Experience applying knowledge in sales, management, engineering or product line management of completion tools, well construction, float equipment, or frac stimulation products.
  • Experience participating in regular cross-functional meetings with sales, regional operations, and region applications engineering in order to continually update objectives and priorities
  • Thorough technical background of Well Construction products, technologies, and installation methods.
  • Demonstrable experience with PowerBI and Microsoft Visio
  • Fluency in English
