About The RoleThe RealReal is looking for an experienced senior manager to lead our high-impact media channels. In this role, you will be the primary owner of our strategy across television (linear/CTV), audio (podcasts/streaming), and direct mail. While you’ll lead our agency partners, we are looking for someone who also wants to be hands-on with display advertising and experimental media to find our next growth lever. You should have the deep technical expertise to dig into the data yourself and the strategic leadership necessary to manage a significant budget and hit aggressive growth targets.

What You Get To Do Every Day:
  • Scale Reach and Acquisition: Lead the strategy for TV, audio, and direct mail. You will introduce The RealReal to new audiences while ensuring these channels drive measurable customer growth.

  • Budget and Performance Management: Manage the high-impact media budget and provide accurate forecasting. You will be responsible for balancing broad brand visibility with strict CPA and ROI requirements.

  • Direct Agency Partners: Lead our external media agencies. You will hold them accountable for performance and ensure their work aligns with our broader business goals.

  • Execute and Test: Directly manage display advertising and experimental media tests. You will build and optimize tests to find our next growth lever. You will also oversee the execution of direct mail campaigns, from audience selection to delivery.

  • Monitor Market Intelligence: Keep a pulse on the media landscape and competitive movements. You will proactively identify gaps in our strategy and vet new partners, ensuring The RealReal’s media mix remains innovative and ahead of industry shifts.

  • Refine Measurement: Partner with our analytics team to improve media mix modeling and attribution. In partnership with our analytics team, you will lead the effort to prove the incrementality of our offline spend, ensuring we aren't just buying reach but driving actual business lift."

  • Collaborate on Creative: Work with the brand and creative teams to produce high-performing assets. You will provide the data-driven insights needed to build content that converts.

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements:

  • 6-8+ years of experience in marketing, with a strong focus on integrated campaign management across digital and offline channels.

  • Proven track record of managing large-scale TV and audio budgets.

  • Experience managing and getting the best work out of external agencies.

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data and analytics for strategic decision-making and campaign optimization.

  • Deep understanding of performance metrics, attribution models, and ROI.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Creative mindset with a passion for brand building and innovative marketing solutions.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
     

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or luxury retail.

The expected salary range for this role is $140,000.00-$165,000.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
