Tarana is a fast revenue growth company built by outstanding talented people and with innovative technology. Our hardware development team is looking for a smart, experienced, and hardworking member working to test various Hardware systems in different configurations. The ideal candidate would have experience with board-level hardware validation, system testing, debugging, and qualification for  wireless hardware (5G, WiFi, etc.) by using equipment such as spectrum analyzers and high-speed oscilloscopes. Experience with 1G Ethernet, 10G/25G+ Serdes, DDR4/DDR5 waveforms and protocols, wireless performance tests are desired. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 5+ years of experience in hardware testing and automation.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Define test strategy, detailed test plan/protocol for new Hardware designs or value-added engineering projects.
  • Develop hardware validation and qualification test plans
  • Perform board bring-up and functional verification
  • Execute electrical, functional and reliability testing
  • Signal characterization for high speed interfaces such as DDR4,PCIe Gen3/Gen4/Gen5, Ethernet (1G/10G/25G) like Eye diagram analysis, Jitter decomposition (RJ, DJ, TJ)
  • Create a test plan/protocol based on requirements in order to test the specific hardware modules or PCBA
  • Create test reports/presentations based on results from test execution.
  • Execute and automate interface compliance testing for high-speed standards such as:
  • PCI Express (PCIe)
  • Ethernet (1G/10G/25G)
  • DDR4
  • Automate test execution using Python, LabVIEW or scripting tools on manufacturing test stations for wireless products
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot failed units from the field (Conduct failure analysis, and perform Root cause analysis) and factory tests in a lab
  • Come up with continuous optimizations and tests to improve coverage
  • Work with design engineers to resolve hardware issues
  • Actively provide inputs for HW design for testability and repeatability.
  • Collaborate with hardware design, FPGA, and firmware teams to optimize board performance based on characterization results
  • Finding alternate parts from different suppliers with exact form, fit and function (perform Like for Like analysis).
  • Alternate Part qualification and testing (functional and performance).
  • Support EMC/EMI pre-compliance and compliance testing

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field with 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Hardware test equipment usage (e.g. spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes)
  • Statistical analysis abilities is a plus
  • Ability to code and use scripts in a Linux environment is a plus
  • Knowledge of wireless networks and products
  • Ability to create ECOs, Deviations in Arena BOM management environment
  • Knowledge of industry compliance specifications and test methodologies for high-speed digital interfaces.
  • Experience with statistical data analysis, automated report generation and dashboard development.
  • Familiarity with laboratory automation, regression testing and hardware validation best practices.
