About the role:

We are seeking a skilled Senior HR Operations and Compliance Specialist to oversee a diverse functional scope covering HR infrastructure, benefit initiatives, payroll processes, HRIS administration, global mobility, and employee relations. This individual will manage critical operations with exceptional attention to precision, strong professional judgment, and a service-oriented mindset. In this role, you will collaborate with HR Business Partners, executive leadership, legal counsel, finance teams, and workforce members to maintain seamless, fully compliant HR functions.

What you will do:
  • Direct multi-state and multi-entity leave management programs, ensuring full compliance with applicable federal and state leave laws including FMLA, ADA, state-specific paid family and medical leave statutes, and any local leave ordinances.
  • Be the focal point for comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment legislation, proactively ensuring organizational compliance and establishing policies and procedures that mitigate risk.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of HRIS data through systematic auditing, query execution, and timely updates; champion the development and maintenance of user procedures and operational documentation for HR systems.
  • Own the end-to-end administration of global benefits programs — including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans — and lead the annual open enrollment process, including strategic communications, vendor management, and system enhancements.
  • Drive global mobility and immigration strategy, providing expert counsel on visa pathways, compliance timelines, and status adjustments.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to support multi-entity and multi-state payroll operations across ADP Workforce Now and Insperity, including payroll approvals, change processing, employee inquiries, and 401(k) funding; ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Review and resolve tax notices in coordination with the dedicated HRIS tax team; partner with finance to support audits, payroll verification, and financial planning and control activities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners on Employee Relations matters, overseeing complex investigations, ensuring rigorous documentation standards, and driving timely resolution of cases.

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of general accounting and payroll experience.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Insperity PEO.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Suite and demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience in payroll processing, especially handling complex payroll scenarios.
  • Understanding of tax compliance and payroll-related regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience supporting audits and budget processes preferred.
  • Working familiarity with ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, I-9/E-Verify, and governing regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrated background supporting domestic corporate sponsorship frameworks (H-1B, O-1, L-1, PERM/green card) alongside legal advisors.

Compensation:
$150,000$170,000 USD
