As a Senior II Public Sector Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading engagement strategy with Tier 1 federal system integrators and innovative GovTech solution providers
  • Developing both strategic alliance and channel partnership models for comprehensive go-to-market approaches
  • Building strategic alliances with large federal contractors while developing channel partnerships with emerging providers
  • Creating tiered partnership programs accommodating large contractors and innovative technology startups serving government
  • Developing joint value propositions combining Akamai's edge security solutions with diverse federal technology provider capabilities

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 8+ years business development experience in federal markets with strategic alliance and channel development
  • Possess deep understanding of federal procurement processes including RFP, RFI, RFQ, and OTA mechanisms nationwide
  • Have proven track record building strategic partnerships with large federal contractors and emerging technology providers
  • Be experienced with federal contract vehicles including GSA, CIO-SP3, OASIS, and SEWP mechanisms across ecosystems
  • Have knowledge of federal compliance requirements including FedRAMP, CMMC, and agency-specific security standards applicable
  • Possess understanding of cybersecurity solutions including CDN, edge security, Zero Trust architecture, and security

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - The On Target Earnings (OTE, base salary + commissions) for this position ranges from $132,100 - $237,900/year; a candidate’s OTE is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
