Job Description
The Talent Development Instructional Designer partners with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and the Talent Development team to design and develop high-quality learning experiences that improve performance and support organizational goals. This role applies adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to create engaging, scalable, and effective learning solutions across multiple modalities.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and developing content and courses, partnering with internal subject matter experts, and/or external vendors to achieve defined talent development and business objectives.
- Creating and maintaining eLearning modules, instructor-led and virtual training materials, storyboards, scripts, and learning assets, job aids and toolkits to support courses, programs, and curriculum on leadership development, performance management, onboarding, job-critical skills, compliance, and business operations.
- Designing assessments, exercises, and practice activities to measure learning outcomes and enhance the learning process and delivery of courses and programs, utilizing multi-media and eLearning platforms and authoring tools.
- Identifying and selecting appropriate delivery methods based on identified learning objectives (eLearning, ILT, VILT, blended, microlearning, video).
- Utilizing adult learning theory and strategies to create training programs and courses that are engaging, interactive, and relevant for the target audience.
- Curating, evaluating, and organizing learning content from internal and external sources to support defined learning objectives and performance needs, ensuring materials are relevant, accurate, and aligned with organizational standards.
- Collaborating with Talent Development and cross-functional partners to support enterprise initiatives by designing learning and enablement strategies that drive adoption, readiness and sustained behavior change.
- Utilizing effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills to create learning objectives and training proposals.
- Owning the lifecycle management of learning assets and curricula, including rationalization, reuse, global consistency, and ongoing updates.
- Designing and maintaining curated learning content and knowledge repositories that enable scalability, rapid updates, and institutional knowledge retention.
- Consulting with stakeholders to identify performance gaps and learning needs.
- Determining when training is the appropriate solution and recommending alternatives.
- Translating business objectives into measurable learning outcomes.
- Iterating and improving learning solutions based on results and insights.

- Learning portfolio management, including content rationalization and lifecycle governance
- Content curation, information architecture and knowledge organization
- Familiarity with learning management systems and capabilities to implement and track learning solutions
- Continuous improvement mindset with attention to quality standards and detail
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong instructional design portfolio and tool mastery with 3 to 7 years of experience. Please include a portfolio in your application.
- Experience designing learning across multiple modalities.
