The Opportunity: 

Flexport IT is looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to support our SaaS based Collaboration and Endpoint Management platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for the configuration, integration, administration, and support of Google Workspace, Slack, Office365, Confluence, Jira, Okta, Jamf, and Intune. You will play a critical role in ensuring these platforms are secure, scalable, and optimized. The candidate will have broad knowledge across IT as a whole, in-depth hands on working knowledge, and a strong security mindset. 

Your expertise will be critical in automating workflows, protecting sensitive systems and data, mitigating security risks, and maintaining compliance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, lead IT engineering projects, and provide day to day operations support.

You Will
  • Administer and provide escalation support for our SaaS platforms.
  • Implement and maintain policies, software deployment, patching, and security compliance for our Mac and Windows endpoints, using Jamf and Intune. 
  • Own the lifecycle management across our core collaboration and endpoint management platforms. 
  • Develop automation scripts and workflows to improve administrative efficiency and user experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Okta Workflows).
  • Monitor system health, performance, and usage; proactively resolve or escalate issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Security, Engineering, HR, Legal) to ensure proper alignment and integration of SaaS tools with company infrastructure and processes.
  • Perform investigations/discovery across our systems for Legal and HR. 
  • Assist in vendor management and product evaluations.
  • Drive solutions and project work.
  • Onboard new applications for single sign-on.
  • Develop and maintain technical operating procedures, policies, and engineering roadmaps.
  • Work closely with the Security team to ensure the platform is designed and implemented with security best practices.
  • Provide Tier 3 IT support.
You Should Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or comparable experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in supporting SaaS Collaboration tools, Mac and Windows endpoint management.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of email delivery flow, IT security, and IAM concepts.
  • Understanding of RBAC and permissions models across core SaaS applications.
  • Scripting and automation experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base salary for the position in the posting's respective region. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range displayed, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and / or training. Base salary is just one part of our total rewards package at Flexport, which also includes bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefit offerings such as medical, dental, and flexible time off.
The US base salary range for this position (this does not include bonus, equity and benefits):
$130,000$172,000 USD
