About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Corporate Communications Manager to join our Corporate Affairs team. In this role, you’ll help shape and protect Chime’s brand reputation across key audiences, including media, industry analysts, partners, and investors. You’ll craft compelling corporate messaging, drive strategic communication plans, manage reactive issues, and strengthen relationships with media and analysts to share Chime’s story and support our business goals.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $146,610.00 and up to $207,700.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to

  • Develop and execute a corporate communications strategy that enhances Chime’s reputation and aligns with key business goals.
  • Manage all aspects of corporate communication plans, including media relations, executive talking points, and press materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business, financial, tech, and trade media while expanding our network of industry analysts and third-party advocates.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, marketing, and product teams to ensure clear, consistent, and compelling messaging in a fast-paced environment.
  • Partner with senior executives to build their thought leadership through bylined articles, speaking engagements, awards, and media interviews.
  • Develop and expand our analyst relations program, engaging with third-party experts to help tell Chime’s story.

To thrive in this role, you have

  • 7-10 years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, journalism, or a related field—preferably within fintech or technology.
  • Proven track record of developing and driving corporate and financial communications initiatives. You know how to leverage different channels—such as earned media, newsletters, speaking opps, and more—to get the story out and meet our business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and cultivate media and analyst relationships, with strong judgment on navigating both proactive storytelling and reactive communications.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. You write with a distinct voice, and you’re not afraid to let it shine.
  • Experience partnering with C-suite executives and building their thought leadership through strategic content, media engagement, and speaking opportunities.
  • Bias for action: You roll up your sleeves and dive right in – no need to be asked twice.
  • Meticulous attention to detail: In a high-stakes environment, you bring an eagle eye and relentless drive to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Strong understanding of the fintech landscape and regulatory environment is a plus.
