The Corporate Development team is at the very heart of this mission. We are a lean & dynamic team responsible for evaluating and executing multiple buy-side and sell-side transactions that are critical to driving Jazz's strategy on a global scale. From strategic partnerships and licensing deals to mergers and acquisitions, our work directly shapes the future of our company and our ability to make a profound, global impact on patients' lives.
About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager, Corporate Development who is excited about the Jazz vision and ready to throw themselves into a fast-paced, demanding environment to do challenging, impactful work that could transform Jazz's trajectory.

In this role, you will support our efforts to evaluate and execute strategic transactions across Jazz's core therapeutic areas. This is a high-visibility, hands-on position offering a steep learning curve and the opportunity to eventually grow into deal leadership responsibilities over time.

Core Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and Source Transactions: Meet with external partners in the broader biopharma industry, investment bankers, consultants, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to evaluate and thoroughly understand available corporate development opportunities.
  • Build Compelling Business Cases: Drive the analytical evaluation of target opportunities by running rigorous financial models and creating robust, data-driven business cases for executive review.
  • Perform Diligence: Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute thorough, rapid, and highly accurate due diligence on potential targets and partnership opportunities.
  • Execute Strategic Transactions: Work seamlessly alongside cross-functional partners—including Legal, Finance, and R&D—to structure, negotiate, and execute strategic transactions that advance Jazz's portfolio.
  • Deliver Outstanding Results: Maintain a highly action-oriented mindset, managing multiple demanding transaction timelines simultaneously while adapting quickly to shifting business priorities.
What You Will Bring
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline required, with 2+ years of relevant experience. An advanced degree (MS, MBA, MD, or PhD) is highly preferred but not required.
  • Preferred Experience: Prior experience in biopharma business development, investment banking, equity research, consulting, private equity, venture capital, or similar strategic/transaction-focused roles within the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Analytical Rigor: Exceptional financial modeling, business valuation, and investigative problem-solving skills.
  • Influence & Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders and gain acceptance from senior leadership in sensitive or complex situations.
  • Resilience & Drive: A fierce commitment to high performance, the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced setting, and absolute integrity when handling proprietary and confidential information.
