Senior Manager, Corporate Public Relations

Role 

We are looking for an energetic communications professional with a passion for technology and storytelling. As Senior Manager, Corporate Public Relations, you will be part of the External Communications team at Applied responsible for developing and executing high-impact corporate media relations and executive communications strategies that position the company as the market leader in semiconductor equipment. 

In this role, you will transform complex technology topics into clear, compelling business growth stories that resonate across audiences, from media and industry analysts to influencers, investors and customers.  You will work closely with groups across the company, especially Investor Relations, Government Relations, Corporate Strategy and business unit leaders and their teams to elevate Applied's reputation as a technology leader. 

Key Responsibilities 

Develop and execute strategic PR plans for high-impact earned media coverage and owned content that drive a clear, consistent story of Applied as a critical technology enabler in the AI era  
Build relationships with journalists and media partners, organize media roundtables and drive proactive executive thought leadership initiatives 
Support major corporate announcements such as earnings, partnerships, M&A and manufacturing stories 
Lead development of PR assets such as press releases, messaging documents, Q&As and story pitches  
Identify and manage Tier-1 speaking opportunities for senior executives and execute external communications strategy 
Work in partnership with government relations team to advance Applied’s point of view and build relationships with policy reporters   
Work closely with Applied’s international communications leads and drive deep collaboration on major corporate news, including working with them on PR materials  
Drive story mining and identify interesting stories to tell by engaging with key internal stakeholders and subject matter experts 
Manage the digital newsroom and work with internal stakeholders on compelling and engaging owned content 
Develop tracking and reporting for corporate PR performance using a data-driven approach 
 

Qualifications 

Minimum 8-10 years of experience in B2B tech, media, or adjacent industries. Semiconductor industry experience preferred 
Exceptional writing skills with the ability to unpack complex technology, track industry trends, and partner with stakeholders to create compelling messages for key external audiences 
Proven track record of working in high-impact journalism, corporate PR teams or agencies 
Detail‑oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
Strong capabilities cultivating relationships with journalists and influencers, and managing agencies, ideally in the semiconductor industry 
Excellent writer with ability to up-level technical messages into compelling narratives that are understandable to key audiences 
Outstanding project-management skills with ability to balance multiple projects 
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
