The Senior DevOps Engineer sets technical direction for secure, reliable, measurable, and auditable software and infrastructure delivery across multiple teams. The role leads delivery platform modernization, Pulumi-based Infrastructure as Code governance, release engineering standards, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) governance, deployment safety, and developer enablement while applying AWS Well-Architected principles.

  • Leads and manages the DevOps team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of DevOps processes and tools.
  • Collaborates with software development and IT operations teams to automate and streamline processes.
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation within the team and across the organization.
  • Ensures the security and compliance of DevOps practices.
  • Monitors and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to DevOps processes.
  • Stays up to date on the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices, and evaluates their potential application to our processes.
  • Oversees incident management and resolution processes, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • May lead projects and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Determines appropriate resourcing of staff in order to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Builds an effective leadership team through mentoring and formal education that focuses on management and project management principles.
  • Defines annual Key Performance Indicators aligned with corporate goals.
  • Manages and mentors employees and/or managers on performance gaps, career development opportunities, and strategies.
  • Manages and coaches employees and/or managers on all human resource related processes including onboarding, performance management, succession planning, employee relations, selection, terminations, compensation and rewards.
  • Recognizes others’ contributions and share credit for success.
  • Owns attainment of high employee satisfaction and retention; lead development of program and initiatives within group to attain high employee satisfaction.
  • Prepare and manages budget as assigned; analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions to maximize operational performance.

We are interested in speaking with individuals with the following…

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field required.
  • Eight (8) plus years experience in DevOps or a related role.
  • Three (3) plus years leadership responsibility.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with deploying and maintaining a cloud-based microservice infrastructure.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration management tools.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, best practices, and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, etc.)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.

Salary: $140,000-$185,000

This role is bonus eligible based on individual and company performance.

Primarily seated work; extensive computer and telephone use; occasional standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
