Job Description:

As we continue to grow, safety remains foundational to how we innovate, manufacture, and operate. 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) to lead and continuously improve our EH&S programs across our facilities. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive environmental, health, safety, emergency preparedness, and security programs that protect our employees, facilities, and assets while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. 

What you'll do:

  • Design, build, and lead a best-in-class corporate EH&S governance program that supports Shield AI's continued growth. 
  • Develop and maintain enterprise wide EH&S policies, standards, governance, and management systems across corporate facilities. 
  • Own corporate EH&S compliance, regulatory reporting, audits, documentation, and relationships with regulatory agencies. 
  • Establish governance processes, metrics, and executive reporting to measure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. 
  • Partner with Corporate Facilities to administer company-wide EH&S programs, policies, and compliance initiatives. 
  • Lead corporate emergency preparedness, business continuity planning, and oversight of corporate security policies and programs. 
  • Analyze compliance trends, incidents, and audit findings to identify risks and implement preventative improvements. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Facilities, Legal, HR, Security, and business leaders to embed EH&S governance across the organization. 
  • Lead and develop the EH&S team while driving operational excellence and program maturity. 
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety laws, regulations, and company standards. 

Required qualifications:

  • 12+ years of progressive EH&S experience, including leadership of corporate EH&S programs or compliance initiatives. 
  • Experience developing and implementing enterprise EH&S policies, governance, and compliance programs. 
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. 
  • Experience managing regulatory compliance, audits, reporting, and corrective actions. 
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Facilities, Legal, HR, Security, and business leaders. 
  • Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills. 

Preferred qualifications:

  • CSP, CIH, CHMM, or similar professional certification. 
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries. 
  • Experience building or scaling corporate EH&S programs across multiple sites. 
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar management systems. 
  • Experience with emergency preparedness, business continuity, or corporate security programs.
