About Arize AI

Arize AI is an AI observability and evaluation platform helping teams build, evaluate, and improve AI applications and agents. From development through production, Arize gives AI engineering teams the tools to understand how their systems perform, identify failures, and continuously improve their applications.

Our ecosystem includes Arize AX, our managed platform for AI observability and evaluations, and Phoenix, our open-source platform built for AI engineers.

About the Role

We're looking for a technically strong SEO/AEO & Web Growth Manager to help Arize become one of the most visible and trusted platforms in AI engineering.

As developers and enterprise technology buyers increasingly discover products through search engines, AI assistants, technical communities, and third-party resources, we need someone who understands how to build visibility across all of these channels.

This is not a traditional SEO content role.

We're looking for someone who understands the technical foundations of search, can diagnose and resolve website performance issues, and knows how to build organic authority in a highly competitive market.

You'll own the technical and analytical work behind growing Arize's presence in Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and other relevant discovery experiences.

You'll also play a central role in improving how our website performs, from search visibility and page experience to conversion optimization and measurement.

This is a hands-on role with significant ownership. You'll partner closely with Content, Product Marketing, Marketing Engineering, and external technical resources to turn organic growth opportunities into measurable results.

What You'll Do

Own technical SEO performance

  • Develop and execute Arize's technical SEO roadmap.
  • Audit and improve crawlability, indexability, rendering, canonicalization, redirects, and site architecture.
  • Optimize internal linking, structured data, page performance, and technical search foundations.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical SEO issues, including those associated with website migrations and content restructuring.
  • Partner with web developers to implement improvements, validate releases, and prevent regressions.
  • Monitor technical site health and proactively identify issues affecting discoverability.

Build Arize's AEO and AI search strategy

  • Establish a measurable framework for Arize's visibility across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Google AI search experiences, and other relevant AI discovery platforms.
  • Analyze how AI assistants recommend, mention, and cite Arize relative to competitors.
  • Identify the content, sources, technical issues, and authority signals contributing to competitive visibility gaps.
  • Develop strategies to increase Arize's presence in relevant AI-generated answers.
  • Partner with Content, PMM, DevRel, and ecosystem partners to improve authoritative third-party coverage and citations.
  • Test emerging optimization approaches and distinguish measurable improvements from unproven tactics.

Drive organic acquisition and competitive growth

  • Conduct competitive search and content-gap analyses across AI observability, agent evaluation, and adjacent categories.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value nonbrand search opportunities based on audience intent and commercial potential.
  • Develop clear briefs and optimization recommendations for Content and Product Marketing.
  • Build an off-page authority strategy focused on relevant backlinks, technical publications, industry resources, and earned mentions.
  • Identify opportunities to turn existing unlinked mentions, partnerships, and community contributions into relevant referring links.
  • Improve existing content performance through technical optimization, internal linking, consolidation, and targeted refreshes.

Own website growth and optimization

  • Partner with Marketing Engineering and web development resources to improve website functionality, performance, and conversion.
  • Identify technical and UX friction across key visitor journeys.
  • Develop and prioritize a website experimentation roadmap focused on qualified traffic, demo requests, and self-serve signups.
  • Implement or coordinate landing page tests, conversion improvements, and performance enhancements.
  • Ensure appropriate analytics and event tracking are in place to measure organic acquisition and conversion.
  • Build scalable processes for technical website updates, testing, and performance monitoring.

Build a data-driven organic growth program

  • Own reporting for organic visibility, search performance, AI citations, qualified acquisition, and website conversion.
  • Use Google Search Console, GA4, crawling tools, SEO platforms, and other analytics systems to identify opportunities.
  • Establish competitive benchmarks and performance reporting across traditional and AI search.
  • Partner with Growth and Marketing Operations to connect organic performance with signup, demo, and pipeline outcomes.
  • Manage and evaluate specialist agencies and contractors, with a focus on measurable execution and technical quality.
What We're Looking For
  • 6+ years of hands-on SEO and organic growth experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, developer tooling, infrastructure, or another technical market.
  • Deep expertise in technical SEO, including indexing, crawling, rendering, redirects, canonical tags, structured data, and site architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience improving organic visibility and qualified traffic in competitive search categories.
  • Practical experience investigating or optimizing visibility in AI search and answer engines.
  • Strong understanding of website development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, rendering, and web performance.
  • Ability to work directly with developers, diagnose technical problems, and write detailed implementation requirements.
  • Experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, or comparable platforms.
  • Understanding of conversion optimization, experimentation, and website analytics.
  • Experience developing backlink acquisition or digital PR strategies focused on relevant, high-quality referring domains.
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to prioritize based on business impact.
  • Comfortable operating independently and personally doing the technical work rather than relying exclusively on agencies.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with developer tools, AI infrastructure, observability, or open-source products.
  • Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, and AI engineering workflows.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or Python for search and website performance analysis.
  • Experience with web analytics instrumentation, tag management, and experimentation tools.
  • Experience working with modern web frameworks, static site generators, and technical documentation sites.
  • Experience improving both enterprise demo conversion and self-serve signup journeys.
  • Experience managing technical SEO through a website migration or major information architecture change.
What Success Looks Like

In your first 6–12 months, you'll have:

  • Established clear technical SEO priorities and measurably improved website search health.
  • Increased Arize's visibility across high-value nonbrand search categories.
  • Built a repeatable measurement and experimentation program for AI-answer visibility.
  • Increased relevant third-party references, mentions, and backlinks.
  • Improved organic acquisition of qualified website visitors.
  • Increased organic contribution to AX signups and enterprise demo requests.
  • Built a reliable technical website optimization process with Marketing and Engineering.
  • Created a performance dashboard connecting organic visibility to measurable business outcomes.

The estimated annual salary for this role is between $160,000 to $190,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is determined based upon a variety of job related factors that may include: transferable work experience, skill sets, and qualifications. Total compensation also includes a comprehensive benefit package, including: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, unlimited paid time off, generous parental leave plan, and others for mental and wellness support.
