Thuma is looking for a Senior Manager, People Operations to make an already strong People foundation exceptional. You’ll be at the center of how our people and business operate, owning the systems, data, programs, and processes that power the employee experience. You will

  • Expand and elevate Thuma’s People Operations foundation, simplifying systems and processes while creating thoughtful employee experiences that help our people and business operate at their best.
  • Own Rippling end to end: configuration, integrations, permissions, and approvals, and act as our internal super user and go-to for troubleshooting and training.
  • Build out new Rippling modules over time, including ATS and headcount planning.
  • Own performance review cycles and reimagine how we do feedback, building tools that make it natural for managers and employees.
  • Partner with payroll on expansion compliance and audits.
  • Develop compensation guidance, leveling tools and job structures based on business needs.
  • Generate market compensation data reports and job pricing.
  • Administer leaves of absence and renewals, and onboarding paperwork and workflows, with an eye for accuracy and a smooth experience for the employee.
  • Own our intranet content and internal People communications, keeping employees informed and making it easy to find answers.
  • Own data hygiene across our HRIS, auditing regularly and building processes that catch errors before they happen.
  • Manage I-9, E-Verify, and immigration compliance, open enrollment, and benefits administration, including holding vendors to real results.
  • Build reporting that gives leadership a clear view into people metrics.
  • Use AI and automation to simplify manual work across people operations, talent, and technology, and free up time for higher-value work.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, and Payroll to keep processes and data aligned across systems.

This might describe you

  • 7+ years of experience across people operations, HRIS,  3+ years of management.
  • Experience implementing new systems and processes that have high high impact and adoption.
  • Deep hands-on experience owning an HRIS (Rippling strongly preferred).
  • Obsessive about data hygiene and accuracy.
  • A true generalist across benefits, compliance, immigration, performance management, and LOA administration, 401k.
  • Comfortable having hard conversations with vendors and holding them accountable.
  • Outstanding communicator, especially in writing, able to make complex processes clear to employees and leadership alike.
  • Strong follow-through, someone who closes the loop on every commitment and doesn't let things slip.
  • Genuine interest in using AI tools to improve people operations, talent, and technology workflows.
