About Doss

DOSS is building an Operations Cloud for the real world.

A modern, AI-native platform for physical product businesses to manage the flow of goods, dollars, and data in real time, across:

  • Procurement

  • Inventory

  • Orders

  • Fulfillment

  • Finance

Built to replace spreadsheet chaos and rigid, consultant-heavy ERPs. Fast time-to-value, adaptable as the business evolves.

Through our Adaptive Resource Platform (ARP) and unified operational data model, teams deploy quickly, automate workflows, and make changes without months of re-implementation.

We recently raised a $55M Series B, co-led by Madrona and Premji Invest. Participation from Intuit Ventures, Theory Ventures, General Catalyst, Contrary Capital, and Pathlight VC.

DOSS is trusted by fast-growing operators to run critical operations with speed, control, and confidence.

About the Role

As our Senior Manager, People Operations, you'll own the infrastructure that makes Doss run: the systems, processes, and team that touch every employee from Day 1 through offboarding.

This role sits at the intersection of every People function at Doss. You'll partner with Recruiting, Finance, Legal, and our leaders to build processes that are rigorous enough to scale and lightweight enough to actually get used. You'll bring structured thinking to a company that's moving fast and expect your systems to keep up.

You report directly to Wahab Owolabi (VP, People & Talent) and will manage our People Ops team as we grow.

What You'll Do

Own the Employee Lifecycle

  • Design and run end-to-end lifecycle processes: onboarding, promotions, transfers, comp changes, people services, offboarding.

  • Primary point of contact for employee immigration, managing cases end-to-end with support from outside counsel

  • Own employee services: manage our ticketing system, triage inbound requests, and continuously improve self-service resources so employees get fast, accurate answers.

  • Write clear SOPs that enable consistent execution as the team grows.

  • Run ad-hoc projects and special initiatives as Doss's needs evolve.

Build the Systems and Data Infrastructure

  • Own HRIS data integrity. Conduct regular audits and governance to keep our systems clean and reliable.

  • Build people data reporting and workforce analytics that support decision-making and headcount planning.

  • Partner with the team to design and improve core processes in Gusto: onboarding workflows, offboarding, comp changes, and more.

  • Manage global compliance programs in partnership with Legal, including training tracking, policy governance, and audit readiness.

  • Manage vendor relationships across background check, EOR, and compliance tools. Evaluate new vendors. Hold existing ones accountable.

  • Lead change management when rolling out new systems or policies.

Lead a High-Performing Team

  • Manage and develop People Ops Associates and Coordinators.

  • Build a team culture defined by ownership, craft, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For
  • 4-8+ years in People Operations, with at least 2 years at a high-performing, fast-moving organization.

  • A real track record managing and developing people: your direct reports grow, stay, and cite you as a formative manager.

  • Elite project management and process design skills. You build systems from scratch, run multiple complex workstreams simultaneously, and execute without dropping things.

  • High ownership, low ego. You thrive in ambiguity, balance rigor with speed, and consider no task beneath you.

  • Deep fluency with HRIS systems (Gusto preferred). You understand the architecture, not just the UI.

  • Based in San Francisco and able to work from our SOMA office 5 days per week.

What You'll Get
  • Competitive salary + meaningful equity

  • 100% Coverage for individuals Premium medical, dental & vision coverage

  • 401(k), immediate eligibility

  • Lunch in-office 5 days/week (and dinner when needed)

  • Flexible/unlimited PTO

  • Commuter (BART/MUNI/CalTrain) and equipment stipends

  • Wellness & Fitness stipend

  • Generous parental leave

  • Relocation assistance available

  • In-office culture in San Francisco
