We are looking for a Senior Manager, Procurement to join our Financial Operations team. Reporting to the SVP of Accounting, this role will lead StackAdapt's procurement function, overseeing strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract governance, and the continued evolution of our procurement operations. You'll partner closely with leaders across Finance, Legal, IT, Security, and other business functions to ensure our purchasing practices are efficient, scalable, and aligned with the company's long-term growth.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in procurement within a high-growth technology environment, with a proven track record of negotiating complex vendor agreements, driving cost optimization, and building strong procurement governance. You are both a strategic thinker and a hands-on operator—comfortable developing long-term procurement strategy while rolling up your sleeves to improve processes, analyze spend, and lead critical negotiations. You're a collaborative leader who enjoys developing high-performing teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

StackAdapt is a remote-first company, and we are open to candidates located anywhere within Canada for this position. We encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Procurement Strategy & Governance: Own and evolve StackAdapt's procurement strategy, policies, and governance frameworks, ensuring vendor selection, contract approvals, and purchasing decisions are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Negotiations: Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including RFPs and complex vendor negotiations, securing competitive pricing, favorable commercial terms, and strong service agreements while mitigating business risk.
  • People Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Procurement team by setting priorities, raising the bar on execution, and creating opportunities for professional growth as the function continues to mature.
  • Contract & Vendor Management: Oversee the full vendor lifecycle, partnering with Legal and cross-functional stakeholders to manage contracts, strengthen vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and governance standards.
  • Spend Analytics & Cost Optimization: Analyze company-wide spend to identify opportunities for cost savings, vendor consolidation, and operational efficiencies, while tracking procurement performance against budgets, KPIs, and strategic objectives.
  • Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve procurement workflows and systems to create a more efficient, scalable, and user-friendly purchasing experience across the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Challenge the status quo by identifying opportunities to simplify workflows, improve governance, automate manual work, and build a more scalable procurement function.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Build trusted relationships with leaders across Finance, Legal, IT, Information Security, Sales, Marketing, and other business functions to align procurement priorities, influence purchasing decisions, and deliver strategic value across the organization.
What You'll Bring to the Table
  • 8+ years of experience leading procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management within a high-growth tech company, including experience leading and developing teams, with significant experience negotiating SaaS, software, cloud infrastructure, and professional services agreements.
  • Proven success negotiating complex vendor agreements, managing contracts end-to-end, and driving strategic sourcing initiatives that balance cost optimization with business value.
  • Experience building or scaling procurement processes within a fast-growing technology organization, with a track record of driving operational improvements and increasing organizational efficiency.
  • Hands-on experience implementing, optimizing, or administering procurement technology and P2P systems (Zip strongly preferred), with familiarity with ERP platforms such as NetSuite.
  • Strong understanding of procurement governance, contract fundamentals, vendor risk management, and cross-functional purchasing processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging spend data, reporting, and business insights to identify optimization opportunities and support strategic decision-making. Experience with tools such as Snowflake, Tableau, or Power BI is an asset.
  • A hands-on, builder mentality—you enjoy rolling up your sleeves to improve processes, solve problems, and drive execution rather than simply overseeing the work.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to confidently lead complex negotiations, build credibility with senior stakeholders, and present procurement strategies, risks, and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated curiosity around AI and emerging technologies, with an interest in exploring how automation and AI can improve procurement operations, workflows, and team efficiency.
  • Thrive in a fast-changing environment and bring a growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and adaptability to evolving business priorities, technologies, and procurement practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. CPSM, CSCP, or similar procurement certification is considered an asset.
