Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the transformation of supplier assessment programs by digitizing workflows and integrating automation and AI to improve scalability, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Own and drive the Supplier Operational Excellence (SOEx) Program — defining the strategy, assessment methodology, and roadmap to elevate supplier performance to world-class standards.
  • Lead and manage a core team of four Supplier Engineers plus extended team members across regions to deliver against SOEx strategic plans and objectives.
  • Leverage assessment data, industry benchmarks, and supplier insights to advance supplier capabilities and accelerate automation adoption.
  • Deliver assigned programs on scope, schedule, and budget, with rigor on product/process specifications and resource utilization.
  • Maintain rigorous program documentation and ensure visibility of status, risks, and deliverables across cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Own the SOEx departmental budget and ensure effective deployment of financial and material resources to maximize program ROI.
  • Identify functional linkages across the organization and build the processes, roadmap, hiring plans, and training programs needed for future scaling.
  • Assign work, coach for development, and conduct performance reviews for direct reports; approve the same for indirect reports across the extended team.
  • Champion adoption of new technologies and methodologies across the supplier ecosystem, ensuring they translate into measurable improvements in supplier capability and Applied Materials' product/service outcomes.
  • Led the overall supplier assessment program, ensuring systematic evaluation of supplier capabilities and driving continuous improvement toward world-class operational performance.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
