About this Role

Tides is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Management to be a core member of the Digital Transformation team at Tides and oversee the Project Management Office (PMO) and delivery of product and digital transformation projects throughout the organization. The team’s mission and purpose is to leverage technology as a force multiplier to automate operations, improve efficiency, improve partner experience, and maximize impact.

This role is focused on driving projects from early planning through implementation and ongoing improvement. The person in this role ensures that work moves forward, decisions get made, and teams stay aligned and on track. They are accountable not just for delivery, but for making sure new systems and processes are adopted and used effectively.

The ideal candidate will bring strong project management experience, the ability to work cross-functionally throughout the organization and with external parties, a manage-by-influence approach and big-picture thinking coupled with a focus on the details of implementation. This individual will serve as a project management thought leader and be available to coach, guide, and train Tidesters on project management on a per need basis. They are responsible for modeling and demonstrating Tides’ core competencies of leading self and leading people.

What you will Do
 
PMO Leadership & Governance (25%)
  • Own and drive PMO responsible for strategic best practices and executing product delivery and digital transformation initiatives.

  • Develop organizational project management and product delivery capabilities, standards and behaviors for effective coordination and prioritization of projects.

  • Improve the success rates, learn from past mistakes, make processes more efficient with clear documentation and learnings.

Change Management (20%)
  • Lead change management strategy for enterprise projects, including stakeholder assessment, change impact analysis, readiness planning, and adoption measurement.

  • Develop and execute communication, training, and engagement plans.

  • Partner with leaders and cross-functional teams to identify change risks, address resistance, and build alignment.

  • Establish repeatable change management practices to support consistent adoption and continuous improvement across the organization.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Alignment (20%)
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, identify systems and processes to drive operational excellence, and support internal stakeholders to ensure they are delivering for our partners.

  • Develop strong rapport with internal stakeholders to promote service improvements and prioritize new feature enhancements based on partner and team needs.

Project Execution & Delivery (20%)
  • Coordinate testing of implementation, conduct training, and facilitate communication and alignment across teams.

  • Develop new approaches to address barriers to operational excellence.

Project Fiscal Responsibility (15%)
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and spending plans to ensure initiatives are delivered within approved financial parameters.

  • Partner with Finance, procurement, and project stakeholders to support financial planning, contract tracking, invoice review, and budget reporting.

  • Use project and financial data to inform priorities, optimize investments, and improve fiscal accountability across the portfolio.

Ideal Experience
  • 7 years of direct experience and relevant bachelor's degree; or 9 years of relevant experience. 3 years of experience must be in supervisory, project, or technical leadership capacity.

  • PMP or Agile certification is strongly preferred.

  • MBA degree or comparable years or relevant experience preferred.

  • Experience in change management across complex organizations.

  • Experience leading and successfully delivering team engagements that require identification, prioritization, design, and implementation of scalable solutions.
