About CodeRabbit

CodeRabbit is an innovative research and development company focused on building extraordinarily productive human-machine collaboration systems. Our primary goal is to create the next generation of Gen AI-driven code reviewers: a symbiotic partnership between humans and advanced algorithms that significantly outperforms individual engineers. We combine language models with human ingenuity to push the boundaries of software development efficiency and quality.

About the Role

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Manager of Revenue and Financial Reporting owns revenue accounting and financial reporting end to end. You will be our technical owner for revenue under ASC 606, partner with the Deal Desk and Legal teams to keep contracts clean and scalable, and stand up the reporting stack that produces full GAAP financials with minimal manual effort.

This is a high-ownership role on a small, senior team. You will architect and automate processes rather than simply operate them, and your work will directly shape how CodeRabbit scales toward audit and IPO readiness.

What You’ll Own

Revenue Recognition & Deferred Revenue
  • Own end-to-end revenue recognition under ASC 606 across subscription, usage-based, and enterprise arrangements.

  • Maintain deferred revenue schedules, reconciliations, and the supporting documentation behind them.

  • Own Remaining Performance Obligations (RPO) reporting — tracking, reconciling, and disclosing contracted revenue not yet recognized.

  • Record revenue in the P&L and partner with the general ledger owner on cost-center mapping and structure.

  • Establish and document scalable revenue policies that hold up as SKUs and contract complexity grow.

Deal Desk & Contract Partnership
  • Partner with the Deal Desk, Sales, and Legal teams during contract negotiations to understand

  • how terms trigger revenue recognition.

  • Advise on non-standard terms before signature to prevent downstream billing and revenue-

  • recognition issues.

  • Partner with the Deal Desk to keep deal structures commercially flexible yet operationally

  • scalable.

  • Ensure quotes and pricing flow cleanly from the CPQ system through ChargeBee billing and

  • into revenue.

Financial Reporting & Close
  • Own monthly and quarterly financial reporting and the production of full GAAP financial statements.

  • Select and implement the reporting and close tooling, leveraging modern automation to keep

  • reporting lean.

  • Drive a timely, accurate revenue close; partner with FP&A on allocations and budget-based reporting.

  • Deliver clear, decision-ready reporting to leadership, investors, and (eventually) external

  • auditors.

Systems, Automation & Scale
  • Help select and implement finance systems that integrate cleanly via APIs.

  • Use modern and AI-enabled tooling to automate manual accounting and reporting work.

  • Build and mentor a junior team member over time to create redundancy and depth across the function.

What You'll Bring

Required
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue recognition and financial reporting at a high-growth SaaS or technology company.

  • Deep, hands-on ASC 606 expertise across subscription and usage-based revenue models, including RPO and deferred revenue.

  • Strong US GAAP technical accounting skills, including ownership of full GAAP financial statements.

  • Experience partnering with Deal Desk, Sales, and Legal on contract structuring and term review.

  • Hands-on experience with modern finance systems (billing such as ChargeBee; reporting and close tools) and a track record of implementing or automating them.

  • A builder’s mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, eager to design scalable processes from scratch, and willing to stay hands-on.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred
  • CPA (active or eligible).

  • Big 4 or public accounting foundation.

  • Experience scaling a finance function through rapid growth and toward audit or IPO readiness.

  • Equity administration, cap table, and stock-based compensation accounting experience.

  • Demonstrated use of AI and automation to streamline accounting and reporting workflows.

  • Exposure to international operations (APAC / EMEA) and PEO-based payroll.

Target salary for this role is $200k-$225k, plus equity
