As a Senior Engineering Manager at Cohesity, you would lead teams working on a wide range of exciting and sophisticated technical challenges, and design and build massively parallel and distributed systems and architectures.
We are looking for seasoned, innovative software engineering leaders who are passionate about leading, innovating, mentoring, and delivering outcomes at a global scale. We are on the lookout for outstanding minds who love to go deep, tackle big problems, and step up to big challenges. This role requires an upbeat, creative, and driven individual with excellent communication, organization, and technical skills to partner with various R&D organizations. In this role, you will drive some of our most strategic technical projects, deliver large-scale systems, craft new software systems, and make a significant impact on Cohesity's success.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:

  • Encourage, empower, lead, and handle a team of outstanding developers that craft and develop products for our on-prem as well as SaaS offerings.

  • Responsible for the product end-to-end, from defining requirements with department stakeholders to building, testing, and deployment.

  • Drive thought leadership and innovation to accelerate high-quality software development.

  • Mentor, lead and grow your engineers on the team.

  • Set clear goals and lead collaborative achievements.

  • Work closely with various stakeholders within Cohesity like product management, program management, sales, QA, and support teams to deliver high-quality products and drive the product vision and roadmap.

  • Contribute to our data platform, which serves as a foundational platform for various on-prem and aaS products at Cohesity.

  • Responsible for the product end-to-end, from working on product requirements with internal teams, to building, testing, and deploying for on-prem as well as cloud, BaaS/DMaaS support.

  • Understand market dynamics to drive product direction and execution for the team.

WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a relevant technical field

  • 12+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in planning, architecting, and delivering high-quality products

  • 5+ years of building, handling, or leading high-performance software development teams

  • Knowledge of agile/scrum methodologies.

  • Previous experience building highly scalable distributed systems

  • Excellent coding & design skills

  • Domain expertise in relevant areas such as Distributed systems, Storage, Filesystems, Security, Data Management, AI/ML, and SaaS.

Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.

Pay Range :

$271,322.00-$301,469.00

The compensation noted above is based on an annualized hourly rate assuming normal full-time employment.

In-Office Expectations
Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
